Fresh off three days of barnstorming in the Midwest, President Obama will spend the morning at the White House in two closed-door meetings, first with his senior economic advisors in the Oval Office then with his national security team in the Situation Room.
In the afternoon, Obama heads to the island oasis of Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts, where he’s expected to spend the next 10 days vacationing with his family.

But think about it. This is a good thing! A least he's not in Washington trying to destroy the American economic system.
Can’t cut into 10 straight days of wall-to-wall ice cream and golf. So this morning’s meetings will produce the new wonderful revolutionary jobs plan, Tada: )collect more taxes, borrow more money, buy more votes for 2012.
The market down 500 and Obama goes to Martha’s Vineyard. All the while, talking about “shared sacrifice”.
If the GOP nominee can’t use this, and can’t win... it’s time to scrap the GOP.
I realize that any President does not really “take” a vacation.
With the malaise this country is in, taking 10 days “off” just doesn’t look good...especially with so many people not working.
Face it, “O” w ent on the bus tour because he literally did not know what to do with himself.
He had a hole in his calendar and wanted to get the most MSM bang for the buck and went out ‘into the country’

Have you been paying attention? When Obama is at work, he barely works. I’d bet he takes a vacation the same way any average non business owner takes a vacation.
Notice I stipulate non business owner. I believe an average business owner has more responsibility and dedication than Obama.

Notice that his bus tour was only in productive white areas. He didn’t take it to the inner cities. He was probably afraid the tires would get stolen. As for his vacation, this is what happens when people have nothing, live off of credit cards and then fall into money, someone elses. They spend it as fast as they can.....before it goes away and it will go away if the people have anything to say about it.
Obama is a typical welfare recipient. He's at the grocery store piling lobster and steak into the shopping cart, paying for it with his food stamps, driving back to his section 8 housing on public transportation without a care in the world. Meanwhile, the tab is really getting handed to his clueless kids.
I don’t want him here eiher..but from a political perspective, it woudl have given him great publicity..he cod have visited several cities..Orlando ( done Disney World with the kids) Tampa (Busch Gardens) Miami ( South Beach)
Maxine Waters isn’t happy with him. That’s not a good sign.
0bama should invite 30-40 kids from the Hood to share his vacation home.

Maxine Waters noticed. I saw Ms. Waters on Morning Joe today. She was bemoaning Obama not addressing the high unemployment among blacks. What I noticed was how Ms. Waters gently suggested that Obama wasn’t doing enough for blacks. There was no vitriol, no anger, no calling him a racist who hates blacks. She simply seemed slightly discouraged that Obama wasn’t doing enough.
If that had been GWB taking a bus tour to prosperous white communities in the midst of a recession, the entire CBC would have been jumping up and down calling him a racist.
Liberals are full of hate, and they are unable to unleash it on Obama. If a Republican wins in 2012, look out, a lot of pent up hatred is going to be let loose.

Yep “a lot of pent up hatred is going to be let loose.” This will happen on both sides. Obama has set the black people back 100 years by his policies. If he wants to truly settle things down, right now, RESIGN, don’t wait for the election. At least it would be his decision, not the peoples, and things may settle down. If they don’t, they will have to take what comes.

If Obama wins a second term, it’s the death of the Republic. I’m not going for the overly dramatic, I firmly rationally believe it. If Obama wins, it means that a majority of Americans, regardless of performance of the government, desire communism. It will be a mandate for Obama and the communists.

Ive been pondering that scenario wondering how it might unfold. Seems to me theres little chance of it b/c so much political/intellectual/emotional capital has been spent keeping Barry in play. The investment so far is huge w/ nothing really to show for it. I just can’t see liberals in general and the political class in specific taking the hit. To admit Barry is a failure implies core liberal beliefs have failed. Barry is embodiment of everything liberals have been pushing for decades.
Would be interesting to see a comparison of GW Bush's "vacation" schedule and style in his first term vs. the Obama Klan's vacationing so far in his first term...
