Obama Amnesty Begins: Halts Deportations for 300,000 Illegal Aliens; Offers ‘Work Permits’
Stand With Arizona ^ | August 18, 2011 | John Hill--Stand With Arizona

Posted on 08/18/2011 3:42:59 PM PDT by luvie

The Obama Administration today announced a virtual amnesty-by-decree for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, whose deportations will be “indefinitely delayed”. In addition, Obama finally announced a jobs program – but for ILLEGAL ALIENS, not citizens – as those 300,000 illegals will also become eligible for “work permits“.

This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the ‘DREAM Act’ in 2010. As disgraceful as is this usurpation of Congressional authority, this announcement is even worse than is being reported.

I don’t know the impeachment laws, but one can dream.

I would say this ranks higher than the “blue dress” lies of
the Clinton era, though!

I hope that congress has started looking into the situation
though. It is clearly un-American to give our country and our
jobs over to a criminal element.

Last time they did polls, don’t 80% of Americans strongly oppose illegal immigration?

On Foxnews "special report" Friday Nina Easton said that 75% of Americans support a "path to citizenship." Needless to say,I am very skeptical. But amnesty is one of those subjects that certain crooks on the left try to ask misleading questions about.

Maybe Obama thinks that the unemployment rate is so high that giving illegals work permits won't be noticed. I hope he is wrong.

Now we have global corporations that have zero ties to the USA telling us who should be elected. It’s wrong for America.

They don't care if we import 10s of millions of new leftist voters via amnesty. Those damn Tea Partiers are too hard to control!

Not to change the thread subject, but I notice Charles Gasparino must now be persona non grata on CNBC since his book ( “Bought and Paid For” ) was published. I’m must read that. The NYC money folk never invites him on anymore since he exposed the corruption of the weasels and Obama’s masters.

“Inside Job” documentary is worth a watch too. It pulls no political punches. The America public got the shaft and Wall st got the gold.

As you may know, Gasparino says the people he knows on Wall Street, are scared to death of the Tea Party. Makes sense, because many of them like Big Gov.

Certainly ignoring the Constitution and the laws of the land constitute grounds for impeachment?

Since Obongo Bozo and his administration are testing the limits of our patience, perhaps we should test the limits of his lawbreaking by impeaching him.

We will not get a conviction in the Senate, but, I’ll wager we can get him impeached in the House and set the stage for criminal prosecution once his LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist ass is out of the White House.

White House to Big House works for me!

It is fitting that you bring up the Boland Amendments.

Some may question the wisdom of many of Reagan's actions, but unlike the Obama, none can question his patriotic motives. Whether he accepted 1) a tax increases in exchange for a triple the spending cuts, 2) a one time limited Amnesty in exchange for a real immigration enforcement to prevent future illegals, or 3) the "Democrat" Bowland Amendmant protecting Communist expansion in Central America for the sake of a vital defense bill being held hostage at a critical time in Reagan's strategy to end the cold war; each and every time he acted to protect America and its future. As for the Lefts charges against Reagan regarding the Bowland Amendment, how much different was Contra aid schemes to Roosevelt's "Destroyers for Bases" aid to England during the Neutrality Act days before WWII?

And you equate that with Obama's fiat Amnesty, which is, as everything he does, motivated by a desire to damage America and its future. If you seek to discuss Reagan's mistakes or missteps don't dare do it in defense of the Anti-American President!

To you and others Marquess of Queensberry referee to the Constitutionality of the acts of patriots, I here's what Thomas Jefferson said:

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Yes it's fitting, because I make relevant points in an argument.

Reagan was the best, most conservative President we have had in our lifetime, and probably ever will.

And even though you seem hellbent on some idiotic quest to brand me as an Obama apologist, I will continue to point out the FACT that the conservative purists today would rip Reagan to shreds today for his actions and unavoidable compromises in the pursuit of the ideals of America.

Why do so many who lie that they admire Reagan and turn around and piss on his grave? (Rhetorical question)

Many of today's "Reagan Republicans" are frauds who did not support Reagan when he was President. Foremost among those frauds is Ron Paul. Here's a FR post of mine with many excerpts on what Ron Paul wrote attacking Reagan when he was President:

I'm AGAINST another McCain emerging from the GOP field. Those who lack the fight to challenge the the Obama fraud personally will not beat him. Those who will not put America's sovereignty first will make an Obama defeat pointless. I have not seen any in the field yet rise to that challenge, but I'm hopefully waiting.

Those who (work for an imperfect company which imports any chicom made content) will not put America's sovereignty first. I have not seen any (company) yet rise to that challenge, but I'm hopefully waiting for a job with a perfect company.

Those who (marry an imperfect woman) will not put America's morality first. I have not seen any (woman) yet rise to that challenge, but I'm hopefully waiting for a wife with a perfect life.

Those who (make mistakes raising their children) will not put America's perfection first. I have not seen any (parent) yet rise to that challenge, but I'm hopefully waiting for a perfectly reared child.

When it comes to curtain time, anyone with any real reverence for the ideals of Ronald Reagan will not vote to let Obama have another term.

Company? Wife? Children? I'm not sure of your point but neither jobs (income) nor families (love) are about advancing political/philosophical values.

Reagan's point about a candidate who gives you 80% of what you ask for now (to go for the rest in the future) I can agree with. But note that he is NOT talking about 80% agreement in words only.

So before declaring a McCain an ally, just based on the fact that when running for office his official positions are 80% in agreement with what you want, look to his behavior when in office. Look at his career of collaborating with the Leftist agenda (campaign-finance reform, global warming, open borders etc.) his full-time service as the go-to guy when the Left needs a politician or position of the Right to be attack OR when the they need a politician or position of the Left to be defended. Look at his selection of advisers and associates from the Left. Look at the people and groups who had supported him. It's much more than team colors and running platform.

How could a thinking person have believed the McCain who so well earned the esteem & favor of the leftist political & media establishment, and who lauded the character and patriotism of Obama as a candidate (as he does now even after all the damage done by the agenda of the Obama Presidency) would 1) do what it took to defeat Obama in the election or 2) oppose the Leftist agenda if he did beat Obama to become President.

Unfortunately the GOP field (unlike the Dem field) has always had their Quislings. Those lapdogs are the ones who always direct their attacks and name-calling at GOP opponents to their right, while showing the utmost respect and civility to the Democrats & the Left.

Reagan made his career on opposing the Left internationally, nationally AND within his own party. But Reagan's highest loyalty was to his country not his party.

Keep your RINOs! They're only the other half of the Mutt & Jeff routine the Left has been playing on this country.

And take your deceitful Reagan Obama comparisons someplace else!

There is no comparison. Never suggested any such thing. Only exists in the windmills of your mind.

The only threat similar to Obama in Reagan's time existed in Moscow. To think he'd be whining like you about SHOCK! politics in politics!!!! SHOCKED! instead of focusing on the threat...
