Fort Hood officers, hailed as heroes, losing jobs
Updated: 7:38 am, Tue Aug 9, 2011.
FORT HOOD The two Fort Hood police officers celebrated as heroes for responding first to the 2009 shooting massacre at this Army post were told recently they would lose their jobs as part of broader military budget cuts.
Kimberly Munley and Mark Todd, who is credited with taking down suspected shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan, have both left Fort Hood in advance of the end of their jobs. Fort Hood officials said other civilian police officers on the post who were hired on a year-to-year basis will likewise not see their employment renewed.
We all hold Fort Hood in our hearts and never thought we would be facing cutbacks, said Munley, who has taken an unpaid leave of absence.

The Hussein tingle only lasts so long.
Gotta make way for the expected influx of fairy cops.
I’d say that’s a good thing. It shows that govt. is finally trying to save some money.
The Army is switching to mostly military police. AFAIK, at least at Hood, it hasn’t been all MPs in a good long time, if ever in the post Vietnam period. But there were more before 2001 than there are now. The husband of a former coworker at Hood retired from the Army as the top enlisted MP at Hood. He then went to college locally, as did she, and they got jobs with different contractors on post. He contracted cancer and passed away a few years ago. She, and I, got laid off at the end of the year. She was hired by another contractor to do much the same work, but that may not last either. It’s possible the whole command we supported may be moving elsewhere, and if so, she won’t go, being too rooted locally. I’ve not been able to obtain a new position, in spite spending at least 2-3 hours daily on the pursuit thereof.
I was in the same hospital as the female officer pictured, when I had my knees replaced last summer. She barely made it, having nearly bled out while waiting for transport and on the way to the hospital. They thought she wasn’t that badly injured. We had at least one of the same physical therapists. He only told me that he had treated her, the rest comes from local news stories.
Dont call him a terrorist though.
Good luck in your future employment our heroes.
San Fran Nan was overheard saying, “Hang in there America. The smart people are making progress for the small peoples. We will all be gloriously equal with the ghetto soon! And everyone will live happily ever after in the American dream. I proooomise. You can trust meeeee.” ;)
They took down Maj. Hasan, and they are only losing their jobs. The Seals, OTOH....
Never let a good deed go unpunished...
Did they become politically inconvenient? Shooting a rampaging Moose?
Sure does suck.
Of course, if they CHOSE to be used as props for Hussein, despite his hatred of the military, then I don’t feel sorry for them one bit.
If they were ORDERED to go along with the charade that Hussein gives a **** about their service, then I feel truly bad.
I guess we’ll never know.
Anthony Burgess, the author of “A Clockwork Orange” wrote a better book called “The Wanting Seed” which envisions precisely the scenario you’re discussing. It would be considered hate literature today.
Not Moslem enough, are they?
Too ‘white’, are they?
Officer Todd, as you can see in the picture is Black, much blacker than either The Won or the Wife of The One.
=> They are too American, and pro-America,
for the unAmerican pRes_ _ent.
They are indeed. But then so are most of us who raised our right hand and swore to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic".. with having the fingers of our left hand crossed.
