I'm wondering if any ex-Navy can corroborate what I have heard....which is that many Navy ships self supply their on-board blood supply, with blood taken from the sailors on board.

If true, the repeal of DADT is downright dangerous.

This bears repeating over and over again. God help our military, because 0bama won’t.

I left active duty in 1988, haven’t been to sea since 1984. It used to be true (self-supply of blood), I don’t know about now.

DADT is an attack, and it’s deliberate. Any harm done to morale, health, or combat readiness by “progressive” policies is intentional.

Bingo. I was wondering how long it would take for this to be brought up. By definition though, the military and Red Cross will not except any blood from anybody who has had homosexual sodomy or used drugs with needles.
