“Would they turn you down?”
I don’t know about Michigan and Illinois, but New York City would probably tell you to forgetaboutit!
Walmart’s been trying to get a spot for years, Harlem, The Bronx, Brooklyn too I think.
The people want it, of course. They want both the jobs and the shopping.
But the dim dem pols and the unions are dead set against it.
Illinois would turn you down. This is a crony-capitalist state all the way. We’re the East Berlin of America. We’d rather have welfare than work.
JohnEBoy, sorry I didn’t reply originally. I got distracted, but you’re right. I suspect that a lot of the unemployed are new unemployed transplanted to Texas because of its jobs machine.
I’m not convinced that the whole thing belongs to Perry. He’s a politician and has a past, both old and recent, of pro-statist policies. My Texas FRiends seem to feel he’s a RINO held steady by Texas’ conservative politics.
That said he looks like the best thing in the current GOP field. I believe he can win.
