On pages 58 and 59 of the health care bill it specifically states that the government will have access to our monies -- and that includes, I do believe, our IRA accounts, our 401(k)s, our savings, our checkings. This is in the health care bill.

Just wonder how this will go over during campaign season, town hall meetings may go scarce and they aren't even up to page 300 yet.

It irks me that this bill was turned down for a fast trach to the SC.

You wait, something will happen to another SCOTUS judge. A more conservative one, before the bill gets before the court.

Obamacare was passed Unconstitutionally. The Individual Mandate is Unconstitutional and so is giving a "Health" Czar all authority over our lives (whether we can eat salt or not, etc.) UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

I didn't know that it specifically said you couldn't get cancer treatment after age 73 and that the government would have access to all our monies. Rita is right these things were not being reported.

Sounds like a lot more is unconstitutional than the health care mandate in this bill. And yes the Republicans could not have stopped this bill by themselves, but if they had been reporting on what was in this bill, the American people would have been much more against it.

There is plenty Boehner could have done to raise awareness. Including passing another bill now against funding this monstrosity

I remember this townhall too and Obama was shocking. The 102 year old had the surgery because her doctor thought she was a good candidate. The woman did great and was living an active life. When Obama answered he already knew the surgery was successful and still answered that taking a pill was the right answer for someone this old.

I agree that we need to rid ourselves of RINOs. The trouble is we will get worse with Dems. I think we shoud target certain RINOs with power in the next election. Boehner should be targeted first for going along with the Dems on the unconstitutional super committee. A lot of the RINOs are sheep and will go along with whoever is the majority leader.

I agree. I would love to target Boehner first with Tea Party ads pointing out how he sold out the people and went along with Obama’s agenda. He could have easily introduced a bill that said we would pay our debt and military first and dared the Dems to vote against it.

This sounds like another reason for the people that can to move their assets out of the reach of the United States and into safe foreign banking systems. Although not directly related, I wonder how this will play with all the rhetoric about getting companies to repatriate their foreign earnings to the US? Not on a bet. The very worst part of creating the super committee is that it gives equal representation to the enemy party, even as conservatives won in the House and are poised to become majorities in the Senate. What kind of “leadership” bargains away it’s advantage.
