I agree. Obama will not win GA.
GA elected it’s first Republican Governor in 130 years in 2002. In less than 10 years every state-wide office is now held by Reps. The only thing the Dems control in GA is Atlanta and a few urban areas.
GA will vote for the GOP candidate.
I like Sarah Palin but she has the same problem Hillary Clinton had. The number of people who absolutely adore her is outnumbered by those who absolutely loath her. Not a popular sentiment around here but's it's the truth.
Rick Perry, while not perfect, is the most conservative candidate WHO CAN ACTUALLY WIN that we've got right now. Sending Obama packing is my greatest concern. As such, and barring any major boneheaded blunders, I'll be supporting Perry from here on out.
And I think you’re FReeping wrong about Perry.
We both shall see.
Do you seriously think that Palin can’t beat Obama? I just don’t see it. I believe the GOP nominee is a lock. We have a once-in-a-lifetime shot at having a true conservative President. Why blow it by settling for the candidate who is more likely to appeal to moderates?
I have already researched Perry quite thoroughly. His Military history, as well as his other accomplishments, added to a few personal positive attributes and strong conviction to what he believes, there is not reason for me to be confused about who and what he is.
It isn't moderates we need to appeal to. It's swing voters. This huge group of Americans, largely apolitical, who vote because they feel it's their civic duty to do so and in the voting booth, they vote for the candidate they'd most like to have a beer with. This is the group of voters who decide elections. Every single time. I'm just not confident Palin can attract these voters.
“...which exposes that the complaints about Palins experience were actually trumped up all along.”
Complaining about Palin’s “lack of Executive experience” during the 2008 election cycle was perhaps the most ridiculus of all the MSM talking points because....
1) Palin was the VP candidate not the presidential candidate as Obama was.
2) Barack Obama had ZERO executive experience.
I’m surprised to see that meme repeat here 3 years later.....oh wait..... it’s the psycho-freep thats posting it......LOLOLOLOL....... like anyone takes him seriously anymore!
“I have already researched Perry quite thoroughly. His Military history, as well as his other accomplishments, added to a few personal positive attributes and strong conviction to what he believes, there is not reason for me to be confused about who and what he is.”
And I conclusively have deducted that he is NOT Sarah Palin!
There..... finished it for ya!
Touche!
I disagree, and I also dislike the general argument that people attacking a candidate one likes are Romney supporters.
I’ve seen several well-known Paul supporters, and several well-known Palin supporters, leading the attack on Perry. Which does make sense, as Perry is the biggest challenge at the moment for their chosen candidates, Palin because if he catches fire, he doesn’t leave a good space for her (she still gets in and splits the conservative vote, but if Perry starts too high, the two of them fight it out and Romney squeeks through like McCain did last election).
Paul’s only hope was to be the crazy outsider, and Perry plays that role well. Plus, Paul is never going to get above the low teens in support, so the Paul supporters have to work really hard to tear down every other candidate.
