Obama accuses Congress of holding back U.S. recovery [ FR needs 'Obama Blames' Topic Section ]

A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking "common sense" measures he said would create jobs and help growth.

In remarks recorded on Wednesday on his campaign-style bus tour in Illinois and aired during his holiday in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Obama said the stalled construction, trade and payroll tax bills could give a boost to the economy.

"The only thing preventing us from passing these bills is the refusal by some in Congress to put country ahead of party. That's the problem right now. That's what's holding this country back," the president said in his weekly radio address, which is also transmitted on the Internet.

"We're going through a tough time right now. We're coming through a terrible recession," he said. "So we need folks in Washington -- the people whose job it is to deal with the country's problems, the people who you elected to serve -- we need them to put aside their differences to get things done."

The liar-in-chief speaks.

He is not going to get enough people to buy this crap to win re-election. Does anyone even listen to him anymore?

Absolutely! He needs to tell Harry Reid to get the hell out of the way and let the Ryan plan and the other “common sense” reforms become law. /sarc

It's always somebody else's fault with the little hippy kids now running Washington. Everybody Loves Barry. It can't be his fault.

I wonder how many morons would have voted for Barry if his other half was white too.

Most honest headline that Reuters has written on Obama, completely factual statement.

So we have two choices, either Obama is right and Congress is playing politics and trying to destroy the country......this is a group of .... well at least more than 100 depending on what you are looking at

vs

Him

I conclude the man is deluded. It is the only logical conclusion here.

Thanks Reuters, now I know

Really berry, you had 2 years of TOTAL control of our government, and you did sh*t. Now it “some in congress” holding back progress. How dare you blame anyone but yourself. As for the common sense, you have none. Stay on vacation, the country will be better off.

And the next article below this one is “Two state utilities said this week new federal pollution rules will lead to higher electricity costs come January.” Obama’s EPA setting up new burdens on the economy. That couldn’t have anything to do with job problems now, could it! Oh no, it’s the Republicans’ fault. It’s the Tea Party’s fault. Electricity rate increases double what was previously planned is all the fault of the obstructionist Republicans, obviously. \sarc

The Kenyan has been repeating that “country before party” nonsense for 2 straight weeks.

Where is the lib media asking him if he is accusing Repubs of “not loving America.” Like they did with Perry.

The media is criminal. This piece of sh!t can say anything and do anything with no fear of media pushback.
