Skip to comments.Movie: The Help -- designed to incite violence

This movie, "The Help" has been written, filmed and distributed with the sole purpose of inciting violence at a politically fragil time in this country. Yes, some of the events in the movie occurred, but it is nowhere representative of society as a whole.
As a matter of fact, the historical background of a lot of leading Democrats would tie directly to this film, but getting the general public to notice that at this time would be futile. Some unbelievably emotional scenes exist in this movie to denigrate white society to the fullest.
I can not believe the timing of the release of this film. The primary "evil" white woman character could very easily be a young Nancy Pelosi. Whoever has decided to release such a film at this time into a politically-charged environment bears a LOT of responsibility for the effects.
Although well-writtena and well-filmed, I believe a far more sinister motive exists for the release of this film at this time other than a profit, documentary or other noble cause.
Like the movie Clockwork Orange
I saw a preview of this movie on some goofy show the wife was watching. It looked like one of those goofy “All of my best friends are black”, white liberal wack job things. I’m gonna pass.
I haven’t read the book or seen the movie. Have you seen the movie?
My squish of a liberal friend on Facebook didn’t like the book because it “makes it look like black people needed a white person to help them out.”
I understand you questioning motives and timing of this film’s release but that feels like a stretch to me. A year from now, I might subscribe to your thesis since we would be in the middle of the actual election run-up.
The primary "evil" white woman character could very easily be a young Nancy Pelosi.
Seems to me that any evil white woman, fictional or not, could plausibly grow up to be Nancy Pelosi.
When I saw Idiocracy for the first time, that’s exactly what I thought: “Someone finally filmed documentary the really takes place in the future.”
Given the jackass demographic, such thinking prolly doesn't surprise anyone.
Arm yourselves, physically AND mentally.
It made $75M this weekend on a production budget of $25, so it's already in the black (pun intended).
I think you are right. It’s a super slick presentation tear jerker from the start. But the overall bent is to once again play the race card which is rumored to be all zero has left to run on. And,,, run on it he will to the very end.
I remember when ‘Billy Jack’ was in the theaters. I was 15 years old and it had the desired effect; it incited feelings of violence. The audience in that theater was probably 15-25 and when the movie was over, everyone was ready to cause problems...major problems.
It’s a manipulation and the goal is to stir up violence.
Bring it, before I’m too old and tired to be of much use.
These guys build a meme, a theme, take white guilt and go with it like they did before, exploit it to the nth degree and never stop. Never look back, its real all right.
The film is nearly identical to the book.
The primary "evil" white woman character could very easily be a young Nancy Pelosi.
In response, I’ve called for white flash mobs to destroy West Philadelphia.
I did not take this as having an ulterior political motive. At one point during the movie, at the big fundraiser, I was smiling to myself thinking virtually every white person in that room was a Democrat.
It is based on a best seller novel, written by a woman who grew up in Jackson and whose family had a black maid. Seems pretty natural to make it into a movie.
In the 60s in the south the majority of people were Democrats and the KKK and the elite were pretty much exclusively Democrats.
In fact, I believe the working taxpayers have replaced slavery. We're the new slave labor. Not only do we labor to support the entire government as well as the democrat base - we labor to support the entire globe.
Isn't it time we freed the slaves again? Where's the guilt over tax payer slavery today? Slaves are slaves. It doesn't matter what color they are.
No man should be used as another mans slave.
I thought the same as you since the movie is very well done. And then I read the latest installment of the ulsterman series where zero has plans to really use the race card to get reelected and all of a sudden bells and whistles went off.
I have some very conservative friends and they loved it. I don’t go to movies so will not see it.
Please. The Help has been out for a couple of years in book form.
It’s a very good book and movie. Anyone who knows anything about that time knows it’s Democrats that imposed segregation.
Channon Christian, 21, and Christopher Newsom, 23.
“Seems pretty natural to make it into a movie.”
Or maybe just report it on the evening TV news.
I saw the movie and thought it was great.
One woman in the film was extremely bad, one was extremely good and the others were in the middle.
Hey, lighten up.
Read the comments here.
Freepers are willfully opening their wallets for this film so it can’t be all that bad.
As they say, it’s a free country, right?
In reality zero could care less about the black vote, any vote. He hates his job. This guy is hired gun very well paid and is doing a job. He is run by others who pull his strings.
Movies like this are very effective. Have been for decades. Way too many Whites are patsies. They have been conditioned to believe that if not for evil whites race issues and racism would not exist. They will wring their hands, bemoan their existence and be silenced. They will nod their heads that whites in general are bad people and be kowtowed to accept all kind of anti white BS. Some will even applaud but never ever wonder why in our egalitarian society Hollywood doesn’t show Movies like this just like the constant barrage of KKK stories or events like James Byrd are meant to do one thing. To shame and berate whites. Whites are taught to believe that whites, their culture and civilization and only whites are the bane of racial harmony. Meanwhile horrific stories of black racial crap are either ignored, downplayed or outright excused like Omar Thornton murdering eight people. If we are so into truth, history and realism let Hollywood have a very direct look at black history and race. Let us explore black ‘racism’. (Of course they won’t do it.) Let’s look at the current day black community. Let us look at Africa and all its glory. Let’s look at the murder and torture of Shannon Christian and Christopher Newsom or Hymietown. Or any number of other examples. One day and hopefully before it is too late more whites will realize that all of this is a zero sum game with the specific purpose of our demise as the goal. Destroy Whites and Western civilization.
You are onto something. IMHO, there are gen X, Y and Z;s who have the same sentiment. When these come to be the movers and shakers, there will likely be a cultural uprising that will push to eliminate all raced based preferences.
Anybody mention Bull Conner, George Wallace or Robert Byrd while mentioning what Political Party they belong to?
Didn't think so.
But we've known that ever since he lost the independents, which meant he couldn't run on the hopey changey thing again.
If this movie were part of that agenda, this ammunition was fired way, way too early.
it reminded me of Louisiana in the early 60’s of my childhood. “The Help,” as the maids were known, knew everything! I plan to see the movie - the trailers look hilarious to me. I guess I should wonder the motives of a movie like this - but oh my. I wonder what would happen if “backstairs at the white house” was shown on TV now... Is THAT inciting folks to violence?
Very few will recall "Edge of the City" and they are lucky, for it was released in 1957. Dockside stuff. A decent young white man played by John Cassavetes chums up with another dock worker. He is played by Sidney Poitier. The African American is a perfect family man. The heavy is the evil "Charlie" played by Jack Warden. A homicidal corrupt union thug, absolutely vicious and lots of toadies around. He cannot stand white and black as friends.
The black man is murdered with a steel hook plunged into his back. Warden played "Charlie" so well as to be overplayed. The hero finally drags "Charlie" down in a headlock. "I am taking you in".
This is an Infographic on how to identify which movie to watch will allow you to expiate your white guilt.
The movie wasn’t political. The OP is trying to make it political.
It’s a silly premise.
Maybe not if its just the first salvo with much much more to come. They may use this for a base and then build on it.
Very well stated!! Thanks
The thing about art is that once it’s released, it belongs to the people who see, hear, read it.
You may have meant ONE thing when you created it ... but you don’t know how it will be received.
As I said here, I can’t comment ... I just know one liberal who HATED it because it implied that an actual WHITE PERSON helped the help.
Oh... if only we could all rewrite history so all the oppressed overcame oppression without help from anyone some squish decided was unworthy of being appreciated.
Wait ... the only person who ever did THAT was Jesus.
Excellent post.Truth is racism in the US is practiced more by blacks than whites. the pendulum swung about ten years ago and we have been getting the short end ever since. movies like this try and ignore all this since it does little to help the liberal causes.
I have not yet seen the flick, but read the book about a year ago after my wife and several neighbors raved about it. From 1957 thru 1961 I had several fairly good buds in the Army from the deep south. While they were O.K. friends, some of the opinions and feelings THEY voiced about blacks from time to time made what is in the book, “The Help” seem like Little Bo Peep! In fact, as recent as 2005 some of the statements made by a yellow dog Democrat businessman, from Delaware of all places, put ALL blacks lower than whale $h!t in HIS book.
Watch for more e.coli breakouts. My wife said the “Help” were so kind as to put poop in a pie or something like that.
Having grown up in the South with “help”, I will tell you that it is true to life. That’s the way it was.
Best book I’ve read in a long time, read it last year. Saw the movie last weekend, loved it too. Great rendition of the book, which was gratifying - Hollywood ruins most books to movies. Don’t agree with you - many people were like that in pre-civil rights south, and conservatives worked hard, lost their lives even, trying to undo the very things depicted in the story. Not a stretch at all. It’s good to remember the evils of the past, to avoid repeating them.
I just read the book, and thought I was the only one in the world that had! Seriously!
It’s wonderfully written, and anyone who loves hearing people speak about their place in life, and the people they work for will love it.
Incite to violence is a real stretch. Violence is the black on black crime actually taking place in the inner-city these days.
Have you actually read the book? The time setting for the book was the early 60’s. It was made into a movie because it was such a well written book with well developed characters.
It’s typical southern lit style. There’s no sinister motives here other than to cash in on the $$$$$$$$$ the book made.
hands, I cannot agree with your remarks. I have a couple of lib friends. Good solid people, ex military, I’d bleed for them. We don’t agree on anything political, but I’ve known them for decades and wouldn’t trade their friendship over being policitally opposed.
Yeah, they are crazy about most stuff, but they are my friends and I will keep them. They actually add comedic relief to most of our gatherings since they are always in the minority in any discussion.
