Back-Door Amnesty Backfires: Obama’s Approval Hits New Low of 44% With Hispanics
cnsnews.com | 8-22-11 | Terence Jeffrey

Posted on 08/22/2011 10:44:21 PM PDT by Justaham

In the same week that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her department was going to review the cases of 300,000 illegal aliens in deportation proceedings and allow “low priority” cases to stay in the country and receive work permits—a move House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith called a “back door amnesty”—President Barack Obama’s approval dropped to an all-time low of 44 percent among Hispanics, according to Gallup polling data released today.

That is a drop of 41 points from the spring of 2009, when Obama’s approval among Hispanic Americans peaked at 85 percent (in the weeks that ended April 26, 2009 and May 17, 2009).

Obama’s approval among Hispanics dropped 5 points last week alone, falling from 49 percent in the week that ended Aug. 14 to its new low of 44 percent in the week that ended Aug. 21.

The kenyanmugabe is less interested in the judgment of the legal "Hispanics" than he is in sucking in as many illegals as he can to eventually ensure one-party Democrat rule forever in the USA. That seems to be the attitude of too many Republicans, also, but why Republican, even Liberal Republicans want to ensure Democrat rule is something I am unable to fathom.
Amnesty = Democrats forever, at least as forever as politicians can think.

Evangelicals where you live? That’s interesting since they are overwhelmingly Catholic when they move here.

The kenyan's de facto Amnesty will, I suspect, increase the traffic across the southern border. The flow will gradually rise to become a flood as what federal border security there is gets eased and pulled back.

Middle class democracy is entirely a north European, specifically Anglo, thing and other folks accept it and operate in it only insofar as they are assimilated to that Northern European derived culture. Putting up bars to assimilation and encouraging separatism while maintaining universal suffrage must gradually overwhelm the Anglo/Euro basis of our own Constitution and the whole tradition as the separatist cultures are imported wholesale and become dominant in the sub classes. The Elite will be safe as the society divides into that permanent and generally light skinned elite and the generally darker subject class. We will eventually look a lot like Cuba.

I reached that conclusion long ago and finally did something about it in 1988. It is no longer allowed in my house.

More proof the political class completely misunderstands Mexican Americans v. illegals.

Many of them do not misunderstand it but propagating the myth is useful for the radical transformation of the nation.

I don’t think reversing this is possible. At this point states should be gearing up to aggressively guard their own foreign borders. The Feds are not going to do it any more, no matter who is in the White House. The states should be training and deploying their own State Police units or militia or whatever they want to call them and putting them on the border. It will cause friction with the feds but hey, that’s what it is all about now. It is tome for some positive friction and self assertion by the States.

How about that! You predicted this would happen, congratulations.

Obama’s approval among Hispanics dropped 5 points last week alone, falling from 49 percent in the week that ended Aug. 14 to its new low of 44 percent in the week that ended Aug. 21.

One of the benefits, perhaps the only benefit of a prolonged recession and high unemployment was the likelyhood that illegals would loose jobs and return.

The question is, have illegals lost their jobs and left? Do they work for less than the wages of unemployment insurance? Has protracted unemployment insurance actually kepi the illegals here? Have the illegals thus actually benefited from unemployment insurance payments?

Yet, for the past decade or so, our government just keeps saying there are too many illegals here to deport.

All we have to do is JAIL any AMERICAN employer that pays an illegal and JAIL any school official that allows their children into schools. Government officials giving welfare to illegals, jail them too. Make them PROVE they are American citizens.

WE don't have to do a thing to try to find illegal aliens, they will all leave.

Problem will be solved in weeks.

BO hasn’t figured it out yet - there’s no point in being here if there’s NO JOBS!!!

They’re leaving on their own...if he thought “protecting” them would give him a big boost then he miscalculated. They want jobs FIRST, THEN protection. If there’s no jobs they don’t need protection because they’ll JUST LEAVE ANYWAY!!!

This is aside from the fact that many immigrants here LEGALLY don’t want illegal immigrants protected - it makes the legal ones look bad.

I thought this prez was supposed to be soooo brilliant?

These polls of obamas popularity among hispanics and blacks are virtually meaningless, because they are still going to overwhelmingly vote for him. Blacks and hispanics sure as hell are`nt going to vote for a Republican just because they are angry at obama. Lots of conservatives were angry at Bush. Did that make them vote for kerry? No. There is no optimism to be gained from these polls.

Southwestern hispanics disapprove of illegals almost as much as you and I do!

Ref post #8.

You are absolutely correct.

I was going to say something similar, but I didn’t want to waste my time.

Thank you for saying it for me too.

Election 2010:

New Mexico, with a population that is more Hispanic than White, elected a Tea Party Republican female, Susana Martinez, to the Governorship.

Florida, where the new GOP governor Scott was elected only because the majority of Hispanics voted for him.

—The Dems, who look at a group of people and assume they all think alike, are going to find they have seriously miscalculated what is going on with Hispanics. The Dems listen to the most leftist, loudest and lame-brained and assume the Hispanic vote is in their pocket, which it definitely is not. Catering to illegals helps them with some Hispanics, but alienates them from others.

"These polls of Obamas popularity among hispanics and blacks are virtually meaningless, because they are still going to overwhelmingly vote for him."

I call BS, see previous post regarding 2010 in New Mexico and Florida. Do you live in California? Then your comment makes some sense. Otherwise not.

I live in Colorado and believe me there are lots of Hispanics here that do not like Obama. (Yes, I know that is not true so much up in Denver where Democrats are working overtime to create a dependent underclass).

Most legal hispanics, particularly those who either themselves, or fairly recently in their families, came here via the legal method, are not going to like at all (IMHO) what Obama is doing.

Obama is spitting on and trivializing their hard won efforts and desires to become American citizens through the legal means...and opening the door for those who are not willing to do what it takes, but instead will trample the law to get their way from a President, administration, and adherants and enablers who are only seeking power through (what will utlimately be) the buying of votes.
