Sen. John McCain said that as Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi faces an "inevitable" end, the U.S. should concern itself with helping contain weapons from Qaddafi's arsenal.
"We've got to secure these weapons depots," the Arizona Republican said on CBS' "The Early Show" Tuesday. "that have huge, huge numbers of weapons, and apparently mustard gas and other weapons of mass destruction."

But they love us. /s
Too late. The Orks still have 'em, (under new management), McShame.
Just find the ring and everything will be alright.
Wow!
I noticed that this is just now being reported by the MSM.
He dismantled his WMD program but kept the uranium and mustard gas.
Funny, this wasn’t a concern when Qaddafi was still in power.
I guess we picked the wrong side, huh?
“Did not Qhadifi get rid of those WMDs a couple of years back?”
Yep..he did after President Bush scared the crap out of him with Shock and Awe on Saddam. This whole Libya thing of Obama’s is very puzzling to say the least. The only explanation I can come up with is that Obama is on the side of the Muslim brotherhood across the middle east. Otherwise he would have taken a more cautious stand on the whole ‘Arab Spring’.
McCain sounded like an idiot on Greta last night too.
Although I still am unsure who would sleep with her.
[so, youre saying Obama just gave WMDs to a Sharia state?]
Maybe someone shoulda thunk about that before they started a war.
Another fine mess.......
Yes, but he still has 144 tons of gold that needs to be liberated.
Needed repeating!
John McCain can shove it.
Let me tell ya something, rabscuttle. I know you despise Mitt Romney, and I understand why. I think Mitt would be a better President or Senator than McCain. McInsane went following Hussein like a lapdog into Libya, and now when the end may or may not be around, he talks about PROBLEMS?
I’m not trying to provoke an argument, just wondering about the difference that might’ve been if McInsane had not been the nominee. I supported Romney in ‘08...this year, if I had to vote today, I’d vote for Cain.
I know one thing is for sure: the chaos Hussein is creating:
in our markets,
in the Middle East (did you see the Egyptian protest in front of the Israeli embassy? Complete with “gas chambers are ready” signs and swastikas),
and in our reliable institutions (like marriage and the military)
make me CERTAIN that *no* Republican—not the foulest RINO in the race—could be as bad as Hussein.
We obviously have to fight it out in the primaries, and McRINO won fair and square, but he, I think, had to be the worst choice of the lot. The ONLY thing he did that was worth a damn was picking Palin as his VEEP.
Seriously, despite the problems any of these Republicans might have, look at how DIFFERENTLY they’d govern if they replaced Hussein:
Bachmann: would push for lower taxes, defend traditional morality. Her tax law knowledge and apparent unflappability is overlooked because she is stunningly pretty.
Paul: would devolve (as best he could) the federalism that puts D.C. at the center of every economic and social decision. He does have experience as a doctor, too—a man who ran his own business, however small.
Gingrich: put a conservative intellectual bend on nearly every problem facing America.
Huntsman: international business experience would serve well in negotiating trade agreements.
Santorum: would be able to speak with authority on the need to re-work the welfare system, and enforce pro-life law.
Romney: would immediately grant waivers on federal DeathCare law to all 50 states, bring business experience to job.
Cain: business experience, service industry leadership would be invaluable in recognizing what job creators need for success.
Perry: overseer of a successful state even during the Hussein Depression.
AGAIN, I am not promoting ANY of these candidates by making observations. Some of them I would NOT vote for in the primary...I think some are terrible terrible choices. My only point is: ALL of them have more wherewithall to govern than the current CLOWN occupying the Oval Office.
Bingo!!
I remember Bush- meeting a plane load of the WMD’s
flown back to the U.S.- we then looked to bring
quaduffffie back into a somewhat normal relation-
My gut feeling - the head communist O’bummer- hated
quadufffie for selling out to Bush- and is backing
the Al-queda opposition.
STFU McPain. He’s no hero. What he has done the last decade has overwhelmed and been counterproductive to his service in Vietnam. He’s contributed and aided and abetted this country’s enemy.
I expect these weapons to be used against citizens that dissent against Islamic rule...and our Military in Iraq and Afganistan. GOD HELP US ALL. Meanwhile Obama continues to try and disarm American citizens but has Armed Mexican drug cartels and terrorists....
Ah, didn’t Libya turn over it’s WMD’s following the U.S. invasion of Iraq? At least, this was what the media widely reported!
If he had them, why didn’t he use them? Something doesn’t smell right.
great post.
Isn’t McCain suppose to be good on foreign policy and intelligence? and he’s just NOW wonderng about WMD’s?
Obama told us in his own book, who he stands with.
we knew months ago, that the majority of the rebels were Islamists and actual Al-Queda.
(the ones for Benghazi, that Gaddafi was capturing and even executing for us...)
Gaddafi didn’t even use the mustard gas on the rebels,
even when he started losing.
...i doubt Al-Queda will show such restraint.
and now, they’ve got the Libyan oil for funding...
i see a perfect merger with the Egyptian M.B.,
who have lots of young men, and little cash...
Thanks. Just posted another observation you might like here:
To: GOPJ; All
Lets see.....when Bush went into Iraq..the MSM claimed that a bunch of yellow cake uranium got into the hands of innocent bystanders(which was later proved false) because Bush did not secure a UN site....blahblahblah....but the media and libs had a partisan cow...then the looting was all of George Bushs fault as well. Then according to the media, Prez Bush going into Iraq in the first place brought Al Qaeda into Iraq.
Now we have full knowledge of AQ being part of the rebel force in Libya...WMDS getting lose and 20,000 shoulder fired missiles going into God knows whose hands...Rampant looting AND THE MEDIA DOESNT SAY A DAMN WORD BLAMING OBAMA AND HIS STUPID POLICIES!!
I can not possibly hate our media anymore than I do right now. Treasonous bast@#&%$ the lot of them!
