The next ‘Great Communicator’ is here, and he lays out so beautifully the American purpose, that I needed a kleenex to wipe the tears when he was done. It gives me such hope as he represents the the message of goodness and responsibility our adult youth will carry forward.

Rubio is an amazing man, and I’m proud to call him my Senator.
His acceptance speech when he won the Senate had me choked up the whole time. He’s a brilliant orator, and I pray he has his eyes on the Presidency at some point.

I'm looking forward to voting for him in 2020 after his eight years as VP are up.
I don’t see him relinquishing his Senate seat quite yet. I could see him as VP in 2016, but I think 2012 is too soon for him to get into Federal executive politics.

I was shocked to hear him say on Fox this morning
that it wasn’t right to attack the president for problems that started in U.S. policy years before.
Did anybody else hear this?
“I think this an important forum for candor. I know it’s popular in my party to blame the President. The current president. The truth is the only thing this president has done is accelerate policies that were already in place and that are doomed to fail. All he’s doing with his policies is make the days of reckoning come faster. But it was coming none the less. What we have now is not sustainable.”
Nails it. Absolutely nails it. Obama is just a symptom of a problem that is bi-partisan in the making.
Junk the RINOS. Stat.
Good lawyers do this all the time with juries, and it works. You establish yourself as a reasonable, fair-minded person by acknowledging what seem to be good arguments made by the other side. You get everyone nodding with you and thinking that you're such a reasonable, open-minded guy.
Then, you crush the other side's arguments. But the first step is necessary to ensure that they actually listen to you when you get into the meat of it.
I sure wish this guy was about 4 years older, because he'd win this election by 10 points.

I didn’t hear that, but I did hear some excerpts from his speech that were troubling.
He said America is about “prosperity and compassion.” I waited to find out what he meant by that, but his speech was very rambling and incoherent to my ears. He uses dramatic inflection but there is no real substance to grab on to.
I fear Rubio is another wishy-washy guy whose convictions are unclear.

He’s saying the exact same thing Ubama says in all his campaign speeches (and that would be ALL of his speeches): blame Bush and the Republicans.
It is definitely puzzling why Rubio would do this, especially at this time and that place. He was honored to give a speech at the Reagan Library while having been a Senator for only 8 months, and at this time of economic, political, social struggle. He has been fawned on as a “rising star” before we see any substance from him. I think it was arrogant and thoughtless of him. Which side is he on??
