The media is still showing the love for Obama. Not only does the fawning coverage continue but media executives are putting their money where their collective mouths are, by showering the Obama campaign with money. Comcast, the nation's largest cable operator and the new owner of NBC (and MSNBC) is the company that tops out the list of executives giving money to the Obama Victory Fund. Abby Phillip writes in Politico:
President Obama raised eyebrows this weekend when he visited Comcast CEO Brian Roberts' Martha's Vineyard home on Sunday. Comcast, beyond being a telecommunications giant, is also the parent company of NBC and MSNBC.
It turns out that Comcast employees are also the most generous organizational donors to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee between the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
Comcast employees have donated nearly $200,000 to the fund, according to an Open Secrets analysis. They top out a list that includes Goldman Sachs employees (No. 4), law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, & Flom (No. 2), and Dreamworks (No. 8).
... There may be crony capitalism at work. Barack Obama's administration approved the mega-purchase of NBC by Comcast last year. This was a key strategic move by Comcast that will make it far easier for them to compete with other companies; it gives them a stable of media properties that it can choose to share (or not) with other cable and satellite companies.

One of the reasons I dumped comcast over Satelite Tv was becasue of Obama. The other was the fact that comcast was charging me over 60 bucks a month for basic cable with no cable box.
Glad I dumped them.
Don't forget the amount of money governments get with cable fees in municipalities. They win with that. Comcrap wins with being the utility monopoly.
Utility companies are as corrupt as governments themselves. Birds of a feather and all that.
If there is one thing in America that should not be making campaign contributions or showing political bias it is the press.
It is disgraceful for a party that should be totally unbiased and should only report truth it is the Press.
The American Press is so filled with liberal bias that it is no longer credible to report on political news.
Comcast/NBC VP Hosts Fundraiser for Obama
Comcasts executive vice president, David L. Cohen, hosted about 120 people in his home for a dinner, each of the attendees giving at least $10,000 for Obamas reelection campaign.
This is how I expect the AT&T T-Mobile merger to get approved......donate money.
Liberals engage in the same corruption that they fabricate against others.
“Dump cable, go dish.”
We’ve talked about doing so, but we are heavy duty internet users & I don’t want to put up with a slow connection. How does it work for you?
I hated Comcast before hating Comcast was cool....
I hated Comcrap since my days at Michigan State. Expensive and unreliable.
Although Mr. Roberts has not replied to my respectful but blunt assessment of his unethical relationship with Obama (nor do I expect him to), the least I can do is post his private e-mail address should others here wish to express their contempt for the corrupt relationship:brian_roberts@comcast.com Regards . . . Penny
I use DSL. It’s not superfast, but I get by with it. I can watch videos with it.
We dumped Comcast....no tv the day after Obama was elected....and switched to Verizon. Not sure if they aren’t for Obama too, but it’s not as cozy of a relationship as Comcast and Obama have.
Comcast is getting the boot from me too after I found this out. They also raised their prices immensely.
