International Pressure Rises on Syrian Dictatorship over Crackdown

As Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi’s regime collapses, another Middle East autocrat is facing more and more heat internationally: Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. The latest indication that Assad is losing ground in his battle with anti-regime protesters came on Wednesday when a key ally, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, offered at least veiled criticism of Syria’s violence against its own people—and in an interview on a TV station affiliated with one of Syria’s closest patrons, Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.

I’ like to see Assad call for the overthrow of Barack Hussein Øbama on Al Jazeera Englishy this weekend,,, that would be funny.

Oh, no, not more international pressure, heavens to betsy.

If the miserable hell-hole had more than a drop of oil in it, Zero and NATO would have given Assad a fragmentation grenade enema months ago.

And don't forget, these warnings and pressure are totally phony, just being put out there in order to lay down some cover for the next big UN condemnation of Israel -- probably next month's General Ass. vote on koranimal statehood.
