In a newly disclosed file by WikiLeaks that was written in 2005, Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda Bin Qumu was identified as a “probable member of Al Qaida and a member of the African Extremist Network”.
The revelation will raise concerns about the range of factions fighting Gadaffi in Libya, some of whom have been associated with Al Qaeda.
Qumu was previously a member of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, but allegedly left the proscribed group in 1998 to join the Taliban.
In the report, US investigators classified Qumu as a “medium to high” risk because he was “likely to pose a threat to the US, its interests and allies”.
Qumu was imprisoned in Libya for ten years for alleged “murder, physical assault, armed assault and distributing narcotics”, but escaped in 1993 and fled to Afghanistan.

I don’t think 0bama is a US patriot...I could be wrong...but everything I was taught in the 80’s about the evil Soviet Union and how Marxist insurgencies operate - seems to be his entire administration’s tactics on how they conduct business...

I wasn't criticizin' you.
Just damned frustrated at the conflict in my brain.
I've been alive for 63 years, at least half of those years were in a concious and aware state .. (No, it wasn't Massachusetts)
Anyway, though the testosterone wans as the years go by, the lessons and memories of how those lessons were learned have been part and parcel with my time as a father of three sons.
And I think EVERY man has used his growing years as a means of judging what to say or do with sons.
And we all learned real quick that big guys were ususally winners over little guys and that little guys needed help or an equalizer.
Now .. we're the united States of America, and no matter WHAT anyone else may say or think, we ARE the bigger guy.
So my mind is so conflicted with what I as an individual am and what my nation is acting like in front of the girls.
It's a damned shame and a sin for the toughest and most decent place on earth to be trampled by lesser examples of God's creative work.
If I ever find out I'm terminal ... y'all read about me doin' SOMEthin' drastic.

Actually, according to the article you can literally blame Bush for this. It says that this guy was turned over to Libya in 2007.

I agree that Bush shouldn't have released him but if it wasn't this Al-qaeda guy then Obama would find another one to lead the “rebels”.
In the 80's Al-Qaeda was financed, trained, and armed by the US to attack the Russians.
In the 90's Al-Qaeda was financed, trained, and armed by the US to attack the Serbs.
In the 2010's Al-Qaeda was financed, trained, and armed by the US to attack the Libyans.
Are we noticing a pattern here people?
If he was know al Qaida then why was he released from Gitmo in 2007?
