Boy who died of dehydration was punished for wetting bed

A 10-year-old boy who died of dehydration after his parents deprived him of water last month was being disciplined for wetting the bed, authorities said Friday.

Documents obtained a day after Jonathan James’ father and stepmother were arrested in his death show how the boy suffered while he was denied drinking water for five days in July. And in an interview Friday, Jonathan’s grandmother said that he had called her in late June to say he was afraid to live with his father and stepmother for a month-long, court-ordered custody visit.

Jonathan died July 25 after he collapsed at the Red Bird home of his father and stepmother, and rescuers were unable to revive him

Bedwetting can result from allergies. It can also signal sleep disturbances. Those morons.

God bless that poor little boy and embrace his soul in Your eternal loving care.

Courts!

Listen!

If the kids do not want to go there is a reason. This stupid “parental alienation syndrom” is another of Satan’s lies constructed by some “psychologist”.

STOP MAKING KIDS GO ON VISITS.

I didn’t hire one fat male attorney who said “The Court can make them go.”

It’s been over 100 degrees every day since June in the Dallas area, while these two animals were withholding water from his son.

I wish I were on that jury.By the looks of them, we’d have to get a reinforced gurney for their last ride on the Huntsville Trolley to Eternity.

Unbelievable worthless scumbags. Too bad the kid didn’t have a choice who his parents were. I’m sure they richly deserve the fate they’ll get in prison. Each should be spayed and neutered AT THE MINIMUM.

These so called parents are nothing but products of the welfare state. Death by dehydration is a slow and extremely painful death... Poor boy didn't deserve this.

I’m so sorry I clicked on this. Poor, poor little boy. Vile, moronic parents.

Of course, bed-wetting can be VERY psychological. Often abuse leads to bed-wetting.

No trial. Just cut off their eyelids so they cannot close their eyes and then put a gun right between those same eyes. Make them watch.

60 cents each and this earth will be the better for it. Don’t bury them, just dump their fat carcasses in the desert and let the vultures take care of the bodies.

Easy now, you don't want the PETA people swarming over here. The bodies would be the equivalent of super-sized McDonalds.

Michael Ray James and Tina Alberson, both 42, remained in the Dallas County Jail on Friday, charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury.

They should be charged with murder. And as we all know, Texas kills its killers.

Evidently they didn’t let this kid out of the house to get near a spigot an hose for water or to shower once a day where he could also “steal” water from this trash who clearly kept him imprisoned for 5 days to keep him from water....

Texas needs to stick those two rabid fat asses yesterday.

105 is the forecast for this weekend in the Panhandle. Been to hot this year....crops an livestock are losses that will take lots of water an work to overcome.

Stay Frosty....

As a 4, 5 and 6-year-old, I used to be awakened to a strap across my bare butt for being an enuretic (bedwetter). Also quite likely causal to this treatment was a father who had a sadistic streak adding unique flavor to his clinical condition as a paranoid schizophrenic. He said that I, his only son, was trying to "make him look like a bad father." LOL! Like he needed any help...

Anyway, I don't want to make this a pity-party post, rather, with the previous data as some evidence of my bona fides to opine authoritatively on the topic, I sincerely believe that the parents of this deceased child deserve to have their genitalia removed with pliers, to ensure they will not be afforded any more opportunities for failed experiments in parenting.

Dead serious.

Yeah, that says a lot doesn’t it?

This is just gross inhumanity. They made him stay in an un-air-conditioned room IN THE SUN!?!?!? That IS torture, the Japanese and Vietnamese did that to prisoners.

Of course he was wetting the bed, he was being TORTURED!!!

Our court system is so jacked up. The kid calls his grandma for help. The court’s essentially prevented his mom and grandparents from saving him.

When my cousins were the subject of a vicious divorce, they always interviewed the kids in private to make sure they weren’t scared of going with a particular parent. By 10, they were very clear and vocal about where they wanted to go. Even though their mother was a lunatic, she was smart enough to know that if she didn’t pamper and spoil them, they’d start refusing to visit with her.

The wacky thing is, before 10, she kidnapped them, was on the lamb for 3 months and didn’t get caught until she had a wreck on the interstate putting them all in the hospital. Stupid courts gave her visitation rights again!! That was Oklahoma.

The local news reported that this was court ordered visitation and the child did not want to go and stay with his father. His desire not to go may well be the reason for the bed wetting.

From what the news is reporting it is easier to get a conviction for child endangerment than it is for murder and the penalties are the same, in this case up to 99 years in prison.

One of my kids used to wet the bed too. Hello, plastic mattress cover. Just keep doing the sheets. Eventually they outgrow it. Don’t shame them at all, it’s not done on purpose.

One of my sons had a bed-wetting problem. Fortunately, we a had a great pediatrician.

He asked me if my son, when he need to pee, would dance around, like most kids, before finally giving up play and go.

I said no, that as soon as he had to go, he went.

The doc said: “Don't let him. Make him hold it for a bit.”

The problem was that that by not doing the pee- dance, the bladder hadn't stretch out to overnight capacity.

The “treatment” worked like a charm.

Those 2 better be facing the death penalty, and they better get it. I hope Texas has installed a fastlane on Death Row by now.

Bed wetting is caused mostly by the S2 nerve being pinched by an unfused S2 segment of the sacrum. Sacrum doesn't fuse until age 12 (when boys usually "grow out" of bedwetting) Chiropractors can put this segment back in place.

I got those strapping sessions too, with the added bonus of being forced to wear my still wet with urine underwear on my head for a few hours to really teach me a lesson. My old man was in the joint, mom was at Fort Wolters as company secretary for the 4th WOC there and couldn't keep me so I was living some with some relatives at the time.

Let's just say I got the hell out of there as soon as I could. I too, have no need for pity, but I do wish you to know that I really understand where you're coming from. I also fully concur with with your suggested course of action regarding the parents of this poor child.

Not that I have a problem with the punishment. Dehydration in the later stages is pretty unpleasant until unconciousness.
