The fighting in Libya is taking a new twist as rebels engage in despicable atrocities with reports of summary executions as they hunt for mercenaries who they alleged aided and supported Gaddafis forces.
The mercenaries, mostly from sub-saharan Africa, were said to be violently massacred in revenge for their role in the ongoing conflict. It seems the TRC has been unable to prevent such acts of heinous crimes despite appeals from the UN and the international community to the rebels not to carry out reve nge killings. At this point, the TRC seems more anxious to take power in Libya than ensuring that civilians are protected as they wage war on Gaddafis forces. It must be said that before these reports of summary executions came to light, the TRC had been instrumental in coordinating a well organised offensive by the rebels, but things seems to have got out of control when the excitement of securing Tripoli and driving out soldiers loyal to the regime turned to celebrations that may have invoked vengeance.
It paints a nasty picture of what most analyst had predicted would be the outcome of the conflict. It is clear that NATO did not make provisions for post-conflict eventualities that has seen the lack of medical supplies, food and medicines for victims of what some African Union heads of states have described as unnecessary war. NATOs determined agenda to get rid of Gaddafi somewhat blurred the vital vision of what would transpire as a result of the aftermath of the brutal atrocities that has seen thousands lose their lives and more people maimed and wounded. The quest to hunt Gaddafi seems so important to the West, that everything else was not much of a priority.
The damage to Libyas infrastructure using bombs and missiles was paid for by taxpayers in NATO countries, especially France, UK, and the United States. And it seems these taxpayers are going to foot most of the bill when it comes to rebuilding Libya. One wonders why the present financial situation in most of these countrys didnt provoke common sense among their leaders as to what was the real priority. But it seems getting into conflict has been the in-thing for western leaders who are keen on leaving their mark and ensuring their political legacy, despite the unpleasant consequences that sometimes follow most of their erratic actions.
The real and true victims are the Libyan people who may have no clue as to what the Wests true agenda is all about. Gaddafi had become vulnerable in the face of mounting criticism from his own people, and it was a delight to the West that a war which was inconceivable for them to prosecute without justification, was eventually taken-on by rebels whose understanding of the economic and political consequences was non-existent. It is indeed difficult to convince anyone that the true reason for the Wests intervention in Libya was purely moral, without any vested interests as in the past, there have been more serious cases of human rights abuses and atrocities committed by dictators in places like Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea, with little or no attention paid and no action taken. This double standard has become the trademark of the West as they push their rather awkward foreign polices down the throats of vulnerable people who yearn for change and democracy. - News Time Africa
So which side are you on Obama, the moslems or the blacks?
And yet the liberals are silent
We know the answer to that question.
Executing murdering mercenaries after a revolution isn’t that big a deal. Read what happened to the Swiss mercenaries guarding the Bastille.
Looks like they take immigration serious, that one they were “Talking too” was a Kenyan or a Somali (they are the same).
No surprise, considering they have been trying to tout this as one of Obama's successes.
I’d advise against the “Allah Akbar” video in the comments section if you think that picture is bad.
How do black Africans treat mercenaries?
Can anyone imagine US Army fighting against and fighting along Nazis in WWII?
Can anyone imagine US Army fighting against and fighting along Communists in Korea?
Can anyone imagine US Army fighting against ad fighting along VC/
That is exactly what is happening now. While US CENTCOM wages war against AL Ciada in Afghanistan and Iraq, US AFRICOM provides support to Al Ciada.
How this fact will reflect 9/11/2011 memorial? Both Stars and stripes and AQ banner flying at the same time?
America has entered into the state of split personality.
Are they African-Africans? Or African-Arabians? African-Libyans? Call Jesse Jackson, I want to be politically correct.
And a pile of gold.
should we send replacements?
NATO, may get pissed if they horn in on their territory too much,
I think obama could help over there. It’s worth a try.
America and NATO are in a rush for third world status, everything about this whole sorry mess has been third rate, we have and/ are setting a fine future example for third world conduct. A new low.
Black Africans have been committing atrocities against each other for centuries, Rwanda was just the latest example.
I didn’t see the video, but I did post a comment after the story if anyone wants to read it.
Rwanda is actually perfect example. There would be no Rwanda "genocide" without U.S. nurturing it.
From media vilification of Rwandan government (e.g. "Gorillas in the mist"), arming and training invasion army in neighboring Uganda, kick starting "genocide" by murdering Rwandan president, to sending Rwandans to exile and murdering over 300,000 in the jungles of East Congo.
Hey, who cares about the lives of Blacks when all those cellphones need COLTAN. Rwanda is one of the largest exporters of COLTAN today, although NONE is mined on Rwandan territory. Where it comes from? Follow the money.
Blaming U.S. for the alleged inaction in Rwandan "genocide" was a nice ploy to cover up direct involvement in the mass slaughter.
It is true that Africans were killing each other for centuries, but not with the help of satellite guidance and US air cover.
Sure, there were black mercenaries in Tripoli, but there were also black oilfield workers, laborers, and many others.
The fact is, that Muslim Arabs have been enslaving and murdering blacks for the past thousand years. And one reason why many Arabs hate Kaddafi is that he was friendly with Black Africa, sent them aid, and brought in many workers. Most Arabs think that blacks are an inferior race who ought to be enslaved.
This is hardly a surprise. Blacks and Christians will be among the losers in this revolt.
- As a leader, You oppress me and mine...
- As a leader, You bring in mercenaries to help you oppress me...
- I get the upper-hand and You run away, but the mercenaries remain...
What do YOU think I'm going to do to those who represent the oppression to me and mine?
Remember, "Me and Mine" and "The Oppressors" are a generic, Fill-in-the-blank terms...
I am confused.
Exactly whom are we going to owe reparations to?
How much should I tell my grandchildren that they owe..... for Obama’s magical adventure?
The people in that region of the world aren’t known for following Queensberry rules... or any rules for that matter - well, beyond toughest thug wins.
Interesting.....it becomes a story of implied genocide with “black africans” in the title, but is a non-story if you place “mercenaries” in the title.
That is a dilemma.
Oh! You were infering to his racial overtones. Well, he is half white, 40% Arab and 10% Black.
Or Geographically, lets see, there is a big push for Islam to spread in Africa to take over the mineral wealth, and he was on the side of the Muslim leaders that obviously travel from the Sudanese side of the border...
Hmmm, I wonder... Racially, politically and Geographically.
The Muslim Jihad in Africa.
Do I get a prize?
I dunno. How does that go down with the "black vote" back here in the states?
French/UN backed takeovers by Muslim terrorists usually end in massacres. (See recent events in Ivory Coast, for example.)
The mercenaries, mostly from sub-saharan Africa, were said to be violently massacred in revenge for their role in the ongoing conflict.
That’s a reasonable response. Even if the mercs were Americans, I’d be in favor of their execution.
Islamopigs killing islamopigs. What’s new?
Come on, folks!!! Get this, POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama is naught but an African Muslim!!! He is no more an American Black then I am!!! His Muslim Brotherhood “dirt bags” in Libya are murdering Black African Christians by the score!!! And....if you fools think Obama has clocked brother Gaddafi, think again. Obama always says one thing and then does another. You don’t think for a minute, Obama is going to abandon Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Louie Farrakhan in their love & adoration for Gaddafi, do you??? Just watch where Gaddafi turns up. In the camp of a devote African Muslim, I’ll bet!!! Obama has made certain that he has installed a Muslim Brotherhood soul brother cartel throughout the Middle East!!! Wake up folks!!! Obama is not for America or “any” Americans!!!
This kind of conversation is always interesting.
Back in 2003 during the UN Bioversity Conference held in Pretoria, South Africa, we polled the residents in the shantytowns and asked what they wanted most.
Here it is:
1) Private property
2) The rule of contract law
We have patriots in Africa who we need to help and support when we can. What Africans need to find is their Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Both are there, waiting. Then it’s American-African revolution time.
Imagine an African army of Thomas Jeffersons set loose on that continent. I love that idea.
>>...if you fools think...<<
As they say, never ask a question you don't already know the answer to.
and the BBC reports mass graves filled with civilians who were murdered by Ghadaffy’s mercenaries.
As the saying goes: Payback is a b......
These Mercenaries are not locals, they are mercenaries bought to kill and intimidate the locals.
The dirty little secret is that this is a Zimbabwe paper, and Ghadaffy has bribed Mugabe and many other crooked African tyrants with lots of money (supposedly “aid” money but most of it went into their private bank accounts).
That’s why the African Union is upset about the people throwing him out. If they can throw out Ghadaffy, with his 50 billion dollar bank accounts they too might be in trouble if their people decide to do the same thing...
