Thousands at vigil for Denice ( MILFORD Illegal Drunk Driver )

MILFORD — Police estimated 2,000 to 2,500 people, not including those in a motorcycle procession, paid tribute to Matthew Denice with a vigil at Draper Park last night.

Last Saturday, the 23-year-old local man was killed in a horrific accident allegedly involving an illegal immigrant from Ecuador. Mr. Denice's brother, Michael, said the motorcycle rally en route to the vigil was coordinated by Matthew's friends and fellow bikers.

Mr. Denice's death has renewed a debate over illegal immigrant deportation policies, but Michael Denice said the family wanted the night to be about honoring Matthew, with drunken driving and immigration to be addressed after he is laid to rest.

Matthew Denice was excited about being in the first graduating class of Framingham State University, formerly a college. He graduated two months ago, his family said. A week before he died, he started a job in information technology at The Coding Source, and had purchased new shirts and suits, his brother said.

Matthew recently bought his motorcyle and was cautious with it, never riding fast or at night. Michael said his brother was bringing the motorcycle home when the accident happened

He said his brother would have been honored by the outpouring of support and turnout, which was more than the family expected. People throughout the country who saw the news stories online about the accident reached out to the family, Michael said.

Police Chief Thomas J. O'Loughlin said he was impressed by the vigil. “It just shows the true fabric of this community.”

The chief said police had to prepare for “the unknowns” because the event was organized on Facebook.

Former state Rep. Marie J. Parente said in an interview that it was time to stand up and call what's happening in America by its right name — illegal alien immigration.

Remember : Illegal immigration is not to blame for fatality, Patrick says To little to late...held on a detainer by federal immigration officials......Asked whether the administration will apply to become part of Secure Communities, Alex Goldstein, the governor's press secretary referred to a letter to the Secure Communities program. In June, Mary E. Heffernan, secretary of public safety, wrote that “we are reluctant to participate if the program is mandatory and unwilling to participate if it is voluntary.”

The administration continues to express its concerns, Mr. Goldstein said. Ms. Heffernan said the national implementation of Secure Communities does not reflect its stated objective of “identification and removal of aliens who are convicted of a serious criminal offense.”

This is the second dwi accident in Milford involving an illegal alien driver. Some years ago before the cops could catch up with him, the driver fled back to Brazil. There’s a large Brazilian community in the area. Gov. Patrick is Obama’s VBFF and a complete dolt.

Motorcycle riders got to watch out for idiots of all kinds.

Now check out this ...
BOSTON — I offer my most sincere condolences to the Denice family. To experience a senseless loss of this magnitude... a life cut all too short... mere words seem to be wholly unsatisfactory in describing the gutteral, even palpable pain one feels. I do hope the Denice family continues to be supported by their closest friends during their time of grief.

My message is meant to reach a certain population that has chosen to exploit the tragic loss of the Denice family in order to promote a political agenda. The realm of political rhetoric is no stranger to this tactic. Nonetheless, I find it to be offensive and abhorrent.

Of course, I am speaking to the connection the media and public continue to propogate, being that the driver of the vehicle was an illegal alien, and that because we have lost an upstanding member of the Milford community, we should now turn our attention to the ‘problem’ of illegal immigration.

This is not only illogical, but asinine.

The driver of the vehicle was inebriated at the time of the accident. The driver’s judgment, insight and reaction time were most likely significantly impaired. In my opinion, these factors seemed to be the immediate cause of the accident, not the driver’s citizenship or lack thereof.

This is not meant to be a diatribe on the moral justification of America’s stance on immigration policies. Quite the opposite. During a time of senseless loss, we must resist our urge to follow the media and politicians who are merely pulling at our emotional heart strings in order to secure votes in the upcoming elections. We need to be better than that.

I urge the community to compartmentalize its thinking.

Again, my condolences to the family of the deceased.

BEN LINSKY,

What they seem to miss out on is the simple fact that IF the driver was either in custody, or had been deported, then the victim wouldn't have been killed.

He's right, the fact that he was an illegal alien had no bearing on whether or not the driver was drunk. However the fact that our immigration laws are being ignored DID allow the driver to be in just the right time and place to cause the death of the innocent victim.

Well, IF the driver of the vehicle been obeying any portion of the OTHER laws he was breaking, this tragedy would not have occurred either!

He was in the country ILLEGALLY! That in and of itself is reason to DEMAND the immigration laws be enforced properly.

Let me put it this way: I am a straight, white, Christian male with NO criminal record whatever. I am a 4th generation NATURAL BORN CANADIAN CITIZEN, and I have a GOOD job, with better full benefits than most folks (including most gov't employees) can dream of, yet these fatheads at the border think *I* am a threat to American jobs? I drop more money on a 3 day trip than they earn in a month...

I am put through the wringer EVERY time I cross the border, even though I have NEVER given them ANY reason to suspect me of any wrongdoing. I was afforded far more courteous service when my hair was down to my waist, and I was driving a retired army bus with my dog as co-pilot. I guess it must be due to all the over-40 engineers trying to infiltrate and illegally come SOUTH to steal the engineering and design jobs "Americans won't do".

Your INS and security folk better get their heads out of their butts before it costs us BOTH more than 9-11!

Nicholas Guaman, 34, of Milford, a native of Ecuador, allegedly was driving drunk when the vehicle he was driving struck and killed Mr. Denice, dragging him a quarter of a mile.

What a brutal horrible way to die...And at the hands of another illegal alien...Another drunk illegal alien.

I can only hope, one day, those who have aided and abetted this violent lawlessness, will be held directly responsible for the great destructive harm it's causing America and our people.

The happens, multiple times, every day in America....Illegals have raped, robbed, killed, ran over, knifed, burglarized, shot, and left more American victims in their wake, than *any* terrorist group ever.

Hard to believe the country just continues to take this, day in, day out, more victims, repeated slaughter, over and over.

And no one in government is held responsible for this epic endless lawlessness.

2 years ago we had an illegal DUI that jumped a curb and hit a mother and child with his truck while they were entering a dance studio.

The the little girl was basically cut in half and the mother died at the hospital later.

And yes we had the same idiots rationalizing it all as having nothing to do with illegal immigration.

These people need to stay with this issue and focus it into political action against idiot ideologues like the governor.

I wonder how much a lawyer could make, representing victims and their families who suffer at the hands of illegals. The best way to eliminate this problem is to make it too expensive for the government to tolerate. Enough lawsuits and massive payoffs and the US government will actually take action to prevent the constant payoffs.

Illegal aliens are about TWO issues....

American businesses are forced into looking for disposable labor because of onerous tax and regulatory policy which otherwise thieve profits. Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation..

And about garnering enough bodies so certain cities don’t keep getting embarrassed by 110% voter turnouts as the politicians that have engineered this mess try to maintain their offices through vote manufacturing.

Just to be fair, there are tens of thousands of US citizens who cause fatal DUI accidents, so it is not as thought illegals have a monopoly on them. But for this family, if THIS illegal had been stopped at the border, their loved one would not have been killed.
