Yeah Powell used his affirmative action blackness to VOLUNTEER for combat duty in Vietnam, while the great white Cheney applied for and received FIVE deferments to avoid serving his country in combat. Call me naive but I will always believe it's honorable to pledge to defend our country even if it means giving your life. As a vet you should know better, or do believe it is more honorable to request five deferments, so that other men serve, fight and possible die in your place?

College and family deferments were common back then and you know it.
I spent years based in Nellis going to Germany to work on investigations in the late 1980’s of our good boys in uniform bringing drugs like heroin over in their military flights back to the states.

I strongly condone any vet's right to vote for whomever he believes best for the country. Honestly? I feel our votes should count for more, because we cared enough to fight and die. Truth be known I believe if you serve our great country for 20 years you shouldn't pay taxes.
Again, Powell supported and voted for Obama, a liberal socialist. He also supports and defends Eric Holder, another liberal socialist. And Powell has called conservatives, racists.

But since this is a conservative site I reserve my right as a member of this board, to tell Colon to KMA for voting for a Leftist scum. My being a veteran, of if I was weren’t a veteran, has nothing to do with that opinion.
The moderate Powell begged for was on the ticket, he chose to vote on a racial basis. That makes him low in regard to any true conservative, despite his service to his country, which many have done both before and after Colon.
