An actor who appeared in the first Austin Powers film is facing a life sentence after being convicted of taking part in a brutal rape. Joseph Son, 40, was found guilty of raping and torturing a 20-year-old woman after she was abducted near her home in Huntington Beach, California. Son, a mixed martial arts fighter, played the role of Dr Evil's handyman 'Random Task' in the 1997 film 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.'

Given enough time, I'm sure one can say the same about anything from tennis to golf, and find just as many delinquents in those endeavors.

These are characteristics not normally associated with criminals.

Drawing conclusions from one data point is a trap all of us humans have to guard against.

There's a lot more Chuck Liddells, Jon Jones, and Wanderlei Silvas than there are Joe Sons, Jon Koppenhavers, Jeremy Jacksons, or Chael Sonnens (that one surprised me).

Most UFC guys are respectful law-abiding citizens who are trained to do combat sports in a regulated environment. Idiots like this guy and Tank Abbott and a few others are anomalies.
