That’s racist!
I’ve been trying to figure out how such a smart young man, who speaks with no trace of a Negro dialect (as the House Speaker assures us) turned out to be such a dud.
After reading this, boy do I feel dumb! It’s our fault: Anyone not standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the president is a racist.

Right Wing Motivation
“Those who question the patriotism and love of country of President Obama are a disgrace to the country they claim to love. I have searched for a reason for the right wing of the Republican Party’s need to be so inflexible in the effort to find solutions to deficit issues, health care, entitlement reform, tax reform, and numerous other issues. My belief is that none of these issues are the real reason for their inflexibility.
I have seen and been exposed to discrimination, and I have fought against it in my actions, my speech, and in my entire work life, and I am proud of the family values taught by my parents which supported my views. Yes, we liberals also understand family values and possess them. I can hear the denials from the right wingers that I’m so terribly wrong about all of this, but I am certain you are motivated by more than simple conservative views. Your inability to support compromise is a product of your narrow views and your inability to respect or work with anyone who has a more open and flexible concept of reality.
I believe conservatives are determined to erase the mandate of the American electorate, who were gutsy enough to elect an African-American president. Is it racial? Yes it is. No other real reason has emerged from all the right wing rhetoric because of their inability to be truthful about their racism, which they will deny again in response to what I believe.”
