If only McCain had fought in the general like he fought in the primary there might have been a contest. As it was he spent more time bashing his own running mate than finding fault in his opponent.
Lord how I wish he was in better health! America needs a good skeet man to down the flying scum in Washington.
My very favorite picture of Vice-President Cheny, who I consider a true patriot, and a man I pray my grandsons will emulate.
But, I doubt they will, because their mother is bringing them up to be ‘burb kids”. I am not knocking her, she is very nice and a good mother, but thinks the world is at the upscale mall and the tennis court.
Alas.
oops, so sorry Vice President Cheney, for misspelling your name!
(Excerpt from the link below)
Yet the Fed was strangely passive and compliant when it came to demanding cooperation and sacrifice from the largest financial institutions. Timothy Geithner was then president of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, the lead regulator of Wall Streets largest banks. He briefly insisted they must accept the burden of rescuing AIG. But the bankers called his bluff and blew him offand Geithner deferred to their wishes. The taxpayer bailout followed. The episode is relevant to the future, because Geithner is now Obamas Treasury Secretary and in charge of preventing the next taxpayer bailout.

Michael Savage made a comment once that McCain had been ‘conditioned’ while in captivity to respond to authority. A Pavlov response in essence. With someone in captivity that long, could brainwashing be a possibility? I wonder sometimes. He sure does not help the cause and does attack the conservative position frequently.
What you said! bttt
Cheney was my favorite one in the Bush Administration. HE should have been President. Probably could have been had it not been for his health.
Idiot!
Actually that is a great point. We did for FOR Sarah Palin.
Actually that is a great point. We did vote FOR Sarah Palin.
I have always greatly admired Dick Cheney. I remember watching him (as Defense Secretary) during the first gulf war .. I was so impressed with his “No Nonsense” style.
I’ve already ordered his book, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it very much.
As for being “old” - join the club!!
If Palin hadn’t been his VP nominee, he’d have come in third.
Sweet.
Took me about 15 minutes to figure out how in the world you did that.
Gotta try that out on the html sandbox sometime (without your proprietary particulars, of course)
Nicely done.
It’s worse than that, McCain fought Bush over everything when he was president. Can you think of a single thing McCain has done to fight Obama?
He is a vindictive little man.
Bush knew that the financial meltdown was orchestrated by the DemonRATs and there was nothing he could do about it. They hit him where he believed was his greatest achievement, the ownership of millions of Americans in their first home. Bush knew his efforts to reign in the housing bubble had failed because the DemonRATs were going to use it to anger the American electorate against the Republicans. It worked and few have connected the dots.
Funny stuff in here!
PING!
That, my friends, is a look of complete understanding.
I have had the pleasure of being in the audience on three occasions when Vice President Cheney was speaking. To be perfectly frank, you just know he is the smartest guy in the room, whatever room he happens to walk in to.
The vilification of Vice President Cheney, a true Patriot, sickens me. The lightweights like Obama couldn't shine Vice President Cheney's shoes.
Yes
Deep
He's a blue eggo.
I love Cheney! He’s always been my favorite. He’s got more brains in one of his pinky fingers than Biden does in that hair plugged head.
I don't think Cheney lose's any sleep about it...He probably laughts at those idiots...Love his wife also...she is one smart and tough lady....takes no prisoners either...
AHAHA! One of your best! I especially like the Leahy reference on the abuse link.
Ping for later reading.
How many FReepers, do you think, voted for McCain? The great majority (because he was the only option)? So...what’s your point with the picture? Are we all RINOs like Rick?
not to worry about me, I really can think for myself and don’t need pundits to help me out. Nice post by the way.
Well, yes, but the people who voted for him were at least complicit, if not entirely responsible. We can't put all the blame on a psychotic candidate.
BTW, do you know anyone who voted for him in the primary? He got no votes in the caucus I attended in Colorado, and not one of my West Texas friends or Michigan friends voted for him. I've never met anyone who voted--or at least will admit to having voted--for him.
