Why so glum, Michelle?
The Washington Times ^ | August 28, 2011 | Joseph Curl

Man, how miserable is Michelle Obama?

About 2½ years into her ceremonial stint as first lady, Mrs. Obama seems to have had quite enough of the gig. More to the point, she doesn’t seem to have ever warmed to the second-fiddle slot as other first ladies before her did. And even more than that, she doesn’t seem all that happy with the man she married 19 years ago.

A look at just this past month is illuminating. On Aug. 9, the first lady sneaked out of Washington and flew aboard a government plane to Corvallis, Ore. On board, dozens of staffers, Secret Service agents, Mrs. Obama’s mother and one of the Obamas’ daughters (we never did find out who). No husband. Her office never announced the trip; the news was broken by Oregon’s Register-Guard newspaper.

“She’s on a private, family trip to meet with her brother and his family,” aide Semonti Stephens said.

But security for the first lady locked down a ritzy country club neighborhood. “We couldn’t go out and get our mail without first telling them our names,” a neighbor told the Register-Guard.

Of course, the optics were terrible. Just as the markets were melting down — and millions of Americans settled in to enjoy a “staycation” — the first lady was off on vacation, again. Why wouldn’t her brother — even his whole family — just slip into Washington for a couple nights at the White House during the summer break?

But things got really weird this month when the first family went on yet another vacation, this time a 10-day break on Martha’s Vineyard......

And yet there's still a good chance there are enough fools around to give him another four-year term.

She thought that if “she had it all” her life would be better. This has not cured her anger. There is no joy in her.

This whole presidency has been a sham from day 1, and while some knew it all along, many are just now figuring it out. Undoubtedly the two grifters are “victims” in their own minds, but of course the reality is that they are nothing of the sort. One has to wonder if something is going to happen, and soon, that is going to end this charade or fundamentally change it. One almost senses they are nearing the psychological breaking point.

I’d be depressed too if I married a guy I thought was “sensitive,” and two kids later it turned out he was gay.

Raises incredible constitutional questions - 25th amendment - section 4:

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office

Some people are just naturally unhappy. No matter how much they have, they are unhappy. Leftists tend to be unhappy with everything and everyone.

I can almost hear them thinking: “Now I am where I long plotted to be. Why am I unhappy. It is the evil system that I am in. I will change everything, and that will show them!”

Back in 2004 Obama was asked to give the keynote address at the Democrat Nat’l Convention, a speech that introduced him to the nation and supposedly led to his being able to ruin the nation now.

I remember an interview he gave afterward—of course the speech was judged a great success—in which he was asked what his wife had said when he went home and told her about receiving the invitation to deliver the keynote.

What were the words of his proud, loving, supportive spouse? “You better not blow it.”

Now he has, in every possible way.

Now she is finished with him.

Should the US be smart enough to vote them out, keep a close watch. They will be most dangerous between Nov 2012 and Jan 2013. There will be a wide swath of destruction on their way out.
