Posted on 08/28/2011 11:10:18 PM PDT by Nachum
On November 16, 1990, Barack Obama, then president of the Harvard Law Review, published a letter in the Harvard Law Record, an independent Harvard Law School newspaper, championing affirmative action.
Although a paragraph from this letter was excerpted in David Remnick's biography of Obama, The Bridge, I had not seen the letter in its entirety before this week. Not surprisingly, it confirms everything I know about Barack Obama, the writer and thinker.
Obama was prompted to write by an earlier letter from a Mr. Jim Chen that criticized Harvard Law Review's affirmative action policies. Specifically, Chen had argued that affirmative action stigmatized its presumed beneficiaries.
The response is classic Obama: patronizing, dishonest, syntactically muddled, and grammatically challenged. In the very first sentence Obama leads with his signature failing, one on full display in his earlier published work: his inability to make subject and predicate agree.

My high school English teacher would never tolerate such writing.

Well done, Jack. Keep investigating. The truth is out there and you are getting closer.
If that is representative of his overall writing, I can see why he locked up almost all the evidence. That is the writing style of a man using words he does not fully comprehend...AKA using big or ‘smart’ words to sound impressive and hide a lack of knowledge.
Or he wrote it in the third grade.
Looks like there is very good reason why the powers that be have hidden and made unavailable all of Obummers work prior to being President. He is an incompetent and a very stupid man.
This is the reason they use the teleprompter. They are more afraid of mistakes than they are of the ridicule he gets here and abroad for TOTUS.
I wonder if she’s proud of herself for the first time.
Barry still could not get a real job, because he was still a fraud, even with his Harvard degree in hand he could lie and take the Bar exam, but he could not work as a lawyer for a major law firm without a back ground investigation and he would never pass one. So, Michelle got Barry a job at her law firm. Barry never filed a case alone and never filed a motion. He wrote lots of memos according to the law firm where Barry worked. (I think they know Barry is a fraud and don't want to be sued by previous clients) Barry rescinded his law licenses, so as not to be disbarred for fraud. The Bar knows Barry lied on his application. Michelle also had to turn over her law license for her involvement in corruption with the Chicago mayors office.
Reminds me of Matt Damon and a bunch f other Hollywierd types. Outstanding actos and do great when you put words there for them to read. Drooling moonbats when speaking on their own/with their own thoughts and words.
And since so few of us think critically anymore thanks to that skill no longer being part of a basic education, here we are in America 2011. Gee...almost like it was planned that way.
I like that. Me steal.
As opposed to being "synaptically befuddled"?
It's a veritable paradise of prose tonight.
My countdown clock shows 512 days until Jan 21, 2013.
What date are you using or is my clock whacked?
And he was said to be the smartest man in the room. He is the affirmative action president—the last thing MLK wanted to see. Thank you Liberal guilt ridden media, thank you Oprah, thank you Hillary for not tearing him apart in the debates. We were saddles with an incompetent and we may even get him for two terms—if his friends can fix the election and run a 3rd party.
Yep! He really said:
"I've been doing Afganistan..."
Hopefully the Republican can start governing when they setup the Obama inspired “Office of the President Elect”.
Remember November 2008 (right after the election) when David Brooks of the New York Times said Bush should just step aside and let BO start governing NOW? Not even wait for the Bush term to end in January '09?

“I’d like to take the time to clarify” instead of “I’d like to clarify”, just one example of badly needed editing.

He's inexperienced, he's racist, he's a liar, he's a stealth muslim, he's a Marxist, he's a narcissist, he's lazy, he's irresponsible, he's a baby killer, he's an agitator and he hates America. Feel free to add on here.
Everything this Jackwagon President does just grows the Tea Party more!
He'll give you everything you need-o Even though it's all wee-weed-o He's planned this all along To keep the economy down Until we end the rule of Zer0
The first sentence out of the mouth of every Republican following Qbama’s defeat should be “As David Brooks said following Obama’s victory.....”
Tweak them from the get go and at every opportunity thereafter. The incoming Prez should appoint a person to specifically look for crap like that the libs said and shove it right back down their throats. And complain like hell that such complaints are racist, heterophobic and harm women, children and the elderly when they whine about it.

Good stuff to show people who believe he’s the smartest guy in the room.
435 is the countdown to election day.
This is the first thing I have ever seen on the writing of Barack Obama. I had heard that he contributed no law review articles and that everything else had been scrubbed or buried.
This pretty much confirms what I believed. Jeez...what a country.
When Obama and Perry (if he is the candidate) debate maybe they should have an essay question, ‘Write 1000 words on what the Constitution means to you.’ Then they should project it for the audience so we can read what they write. That would be entertaining and enlightening. I can see him peeking over Perry’s shoulder while Perry is hunching up trying to protect his answer.
Where can I download the entire Obama-written article?
A president who can’t write an intelligent sentence and a VP who can’t speak a sentence without putting his foot in his mouth - what have we devolved into. The line of Roman emperors comes close to this pair of doofusses.
He’ll do the most damage between election and leaving. MUST count until Jan 21.
"A sophistical rhetorician inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity, and gifted with an egotistical imagination that can, at all times, command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign an opponent and to glorify himself."
-- Benjamin Disraeli (about his parliamentary opponent, and Liberal, Gladstone; from a speech at Knightsbridge, July 27, 1878)--[Bartlett's]
It reminds me a little bit of my experience with him when he was president of the Harvard Law Review. You know, I hesitated to say a lot about this during the campaign because I really thought maybe it wasn't fair. That maybe, finally, when he got to be President, this would be a job big enough to engage and hold Barack Obama's sustained interest, because really, is there a bigger job out here?
[W]hen he was at the HLR you did get a very distinct sense that he was the kind of guy who much more interested in being the president of the Review, than he was in doing anything as president of the Review.
A lot of the time he quote/unquote "worked from home", which was sort of a shorthand - and people would say it sort of wryly - shorthand for not really doing much. He just wasn't around. Most of the day to day work was carried out by the managing editor of the Review, my predecessor, a great guy called Tom Pirelli whose actually going to be one of the assistant attorney generals now.
He's the one who did most of the day to day work. Barack Obama was nowhere to be seen. Occasionally he would drop in he would talk to people, and then he'd leave again as though his very arrival had been a benediction in and of itself, but not very much got done.
So, you know, you see that and you think, gosh, maybe that's the way the guy operates, hut then you figure ok, obviously he always had his eye on bigger and better things.
But now he's President...there really isn't a bigger or better thing.
“A neophyte race-hustler after his three years in Chicago, Obama is keen to browbeat those who would “even insinuate” that affirmative action rewards the undeserving, results in inappropriate job placements, or stigmatizes its presumed beneficiaries.”
Kinda tough, when they have repeatedly demonstrated they have NO STANDARDS!
Smartest President ever. It was like taking a demotion for The One to become President. Instantly the most brilliant man in any room he enters.
This appears to be an error by a person who transcribed her spoken words. I hope Carol knows better.
