Upon Returning from Vacation, Obama Talks About How Hard Hes Working
National Revue Online ^ | 8/29/11 | Jim Geraghty

Back to work!

President Obama said today that next week he will unveil “a series of steps that Congress can take immediately” to help grow the economy and create jobs, his two top priorities.

“That’s our urgent mission,” Obama said as he nominated economist Alan Krueger to head his Council of Economic Advisers. “That’s what I’m fighting for every single day.”

I’m fighting for it every day, the president said, upon ending his nine-day vacation. I’m sure the caddies of the nation thank him.

Obama and aides are working on a major speech for next week centered on the nation’s 9.1% unemployment rate.

Yeah sure! What a joke he has turned out to be. The only problem most of us aren’t laughing. He does not care about “jobs, jobs jobs” Only the destruction of this country economic system.

Who gives a damn about a speech! Until a proposal is sent to the house or senate - this is all bs.

The only thing this piece of dirt can do right now is cancel exec orders and regs that destroy jobs, which we know he won’t do.

jay carney, white hut spokesperson said today

that Obama’s job plan is being finalized,he’s still in discussions
with his advisors....

what????????????? he is never going to finish his jobs plan.

the idea all along was to just have a talking point against those
mean nasty racist crazy Republicans.

I would have fixed the economy but those crazy racists wouldn’t let
me do anything!!!!!!!!

unfortunately i think it will fly for most of the dumb asses who vote

Please let our long national nightmare end.

Yup. Still trying to figure out how granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and their families will help our economy. By the billions that will sucked out of all our generous welfare programs? By the few available jobs that will be taken by illegals who will no doubt get paid in cash, thus sucking more money out of our tax base? By the cost to taxpayers to imprison the illegal alien criminals? By having to cater to those too lazy or too stupid to learn English? By having to hold back our American children while teachers take valuable time to teach the spawn who do not know English?

Still thinking...

For some, taking vacations is hard work.

I mean, walking an 18 hole golf course is like walking 2 or three miles.

And it took him all day. :)

Remember "Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby"?

Obama's "plan" will be a tar baby for the Republicans. It'll be full of the usual Socialist spending pablum. Then, when the Republicans reject it, Obama can run on "I had a plan to fix the economy, but the Republicans wouldn't let it pass!" and the failure of the economy will be stuck to the GOP.

"I’m fighting for it every day, the president said, upon ending his nine-day vacation. I’m sure the caddies of the nation thank him."

I'm not immune from the occasional bout of wishful thinking and fantasy, and imagine how it would be if the major media covered Obama this way. He would be down to 10% approval inside of two weeks.

How much more damage can this monster do in 17 months?

It reminds me of another Demoncratic president who worked hard at delivering a middle class tax cut but couldn’t (didn’t want to). But for the life of me, I just can’t remember who that was.

Ohhhh yaaaa. It was Bill Clinton.

In essence, his “infrastructure bank” would be a new federal entity that would make loans to support interstate highway, rail and other construction projects that have regional or national scope.

“Now is not the time for us to not invest in infrastructure. We used to have the best roads, the best bridges, the best seaports, and these days China has got better airports than us. Europe has better rail systems . . . There is no better time for us to invest in infrastructure than right now - first of all, because we need it,” said the president at a campaign stop in Decorah, Iowa on Aug. 15.

Obama seems to be trying to channel FDR, who tried without success to spend the country out of the Great Depression with an array of public works projects. It was not until the outbreak of World War II that the economy suddenly was back on its feat, thanks to the overwhelming need for armaments and munitions.

Obama and his allies, like U.S. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), foresee the bank being modeled along the lines of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - i.e., a government-run financial institution in which politically powerful bureaucrats decide who gets loans. Equally important, they decide who is required to repay the loans - and which borrowers have their loans forgiven.

Kerry has said that Obama’s bank “will finance economically viable projects without political influence.”

We’ve all heard of Boston’s “Big Dig.” Well, Kerry’s comment can go down as “The Big Bull...”

I would like to see Speaker No Balls come out and give resident Obama a list of stuff HE ought to be doing and tell him to stop taking so many taxpayer funded vacations while the country is tanking hard.
