The fact is that Sarah was cheerleading McCain. Now he’s ours for about five more years.

You can always write in a name.

I doubt Sarah Palin will be running. If she thinks she'll be the spoiler to help get Romney nominated she'll stay out and endorse Rick Perry again.

Hopefully you don't mean this last senate race. When I heard Sarah endorsed him, I was assuming it was before he picked her as the VP and after he had won the nomination to run for President. Perhaps I got it all wrong?

Yes she endorsed him last year. Sarah is a loyal person, and she and McCain have never said anything bad about each other.

"He won't cave in to the extreme environmental activists or the Hollywood crowd and their liberal agenda," Inhofe said of Perry.

But will he cave in to the inside-the-beltway GOP establishment elites??? I'm betting he would.

I hope naps speaks some Texan. If not he might mistakenly take that as a compliment.

Bless his heart.

She also supported this war in Libya. I was trying to forget about that. But to support the King Of RINOs John McCain. I gave Sarah Palin credit for the GOP win in 1020 but also hoping McCain would be replaced. Thanks to her we got him for another long term. Geezzz

Perry is nowhere near McCain. McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts. Perry would have pushed for bigger ones. Oh, and McCain has voiced his support for Global Warming doctrine while Perry has been a vocal opponent.

Either 2010 was last year, or I slept a really long time last night.

” - - - the globe is moving into a “cooling period, - - - “

Yes it is true, but the Earth’s air temperature has been cooling down for the last 5000 years at a time when the sea level was lower than now.

Why is it that Republicans do this every single time.

"So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb." - Dark Helmet

You should face the fact that there no creature in the universe that is more unbelievably gullible than your average Republican rube. The Bushes?? Bob Dole?!? Juan McLame !?!?! These people are hopeless. Their naivety is the doom our nation.

Senator Inhofe is a respected Senator from Oklahoma. He probably knows Governor Perry fairly well. Since I am from TX, I also support Governor Perry 100%.

“Gov. Rick Perry’s most recent endorsement came today from Sen. Jim Inhofe, a fellow climate-change skeptic.”

Sorry, but this statement says more about the writer than it does about Perry. Yes, it destroys any commentary that follows.

Trans-Texas Corridor AKA NAFTA hwy

In January 2001, Perry proposed the Trans-Texas Corridor, a $145+ billion-dollar project that would build multi-lane highways, rail lines and data lines from Oklahoma to Mexico, and from east to west in southern Texas.

Instead of paying for the project with taxes, Perry proposed that it be partially financed, partially built and wholly operated by private contractors who, in exchange for a multi-billion dollar investment, would receive all toll proceeds, notably Cintra, a Spanish-owned company.

One of the more controversial aspects of the project was extensive use of eminent domain to acquire property. Opponents portrayed the proposal as a "land grab", and criticized Perry for opposing the public release of the actual terms of the 50-year deal with Cintra to the public for fear they would chill the possibility of the company's investment.

Perry's former liaison to the legislature, former State Senator Dan Shelly, returned to his consulting/lobbying work with Cintra after securing the TTC deal while on the state payroll.

All of Perry's gubernatorial opponents opposed the corridor project, as did the 2006 state party platforms of both the Democratic and Republicans parties.

Democrat Rick Perry supported a $5.7 billion tax hike in 1987, which was opposed by most Republican lawmakers and "triggered the largest tax increase ever passed in modern Texas. This is the year before he was state chair for Al Gore for President in 1988.
