Well, yeah, but what constitutes “torture”? That’s sorta the argument.
With the “intellectual liberals”, you have to understand the promise of communism means to them.
It means the same as the “new heavens and new earth” means to a Christian. It means freedom from evil and all forms of hardship, the perfection of mankind, and perfect justice being served to all.
This is what you see when you see a liberal doing what Nick Berg’s father did. This is what you see when you see a lib endangering themselves in the name of “peace”.
And nothing short of a conversion to Christianity will put the lie to the promise of communism. This also tells you where the concept of communism originates from - “you will be as gods”.
