Methinks this is very unlikely to happen. Perry and Romney don’t like each other — going back to the days when both were governors.
Austin to Boston? Liberal enclave to liberal enclave? Romney’s internal polling must show him as on the ropes at this point.
Perry/Pawlenty makes sense from an electoral standpoint. Would love to see Perry/Palin.
Politics as usual!!!
woo-hooooo!
The all-RINO ticket. The writers at Hot Air would have orgasms.
Reagan and Bush41 didn't like one another.
BS Romney is getting trounced in the polls by Perry so now they are reduced to desperate measures like putting the RINO on the bottom of the ticket. VPs have to add something. What does Romney add? Nothing. Perry couldn’t stomach Romney. Never happen. All of this before the first debate in which Perry participates.
Perry is doing well but it is WAY too earlier to be talking VPs. We aren’t even sure if Palin is in or out.
So there you go. Sounds like Perry has it in for Romney for using a sea lawyer excuse as a way to avoid a political pickle.
This is supposed to be Mr. Conservative?? Far from it.
1. Mandated sixth grade girls get vaccines.
2. Started the Dream Act in Texas.
3. Said the Arizona law was too tough for Texas.
4. Against putting a fence on the border.
5. Applauded Hillary Clintons efforts on Health care.
6. Al Gores campaign manager.
NEWS FLASH:
RICK PERRY LOVES GOVERNMENT. HE’S A CAREER POLITICIAN THAT LOVES GOVERNMENT. HE’S BEEN SUBSIDIZED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR 27 YEARS. EVERYTHING HE OWNS IS BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT. ALL THE PERKS HE RECIEVED WHILE IN OFFICE IS BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT!!
SAY NO TO GEORGE W. PERRY!!
Not no but hell no. No Romney, no time, no where.
According to Mick Kerry, the best guy possible fro the job is still sitting on the sidelines in NYC
Would vote for Ed Gein over Bama at this point.
I would not sleep well knowing that Romney was one heartbeat away from the presidency.
Cal Jillson is uninformed at the least and a self deluded fool at the worst. Latest polls have Perry over 20 points ahead of Romney.
It would be a repudiation of the Tea Party if Perry (assuming he wins the nomination and that’s not a given) were to put Romney on the ticket.
People don’t vote for VP. Did Cheney or Biden help the ticket at all?
I’d like to see a double cup of Tea on the ticket, not just a single.
What complete and utter horse hockey. We need Romney in no role whatsoever. He would deliver nothing and would undermine Perry at every turn. Piss on Romney and his sycophants.
Try Perry/Rubio to deliver impact...or Perry/Cantor, Perry/Ryan, Perry/Bachmann
Romney could definitely take the shine off a Perry candidacy. We all remember what Bush I did for us in his Reagan follow-up.
RE: Perry/Pawlenty makes sense from an electoral standpoint.
Pawlenty? Only if I had insomnia.
It is more apt to be the other way if the kenyan doesn’t get a serious opponent in the Dem primaries. No contest in the Socialist primaries will send the Democrats all over to the Republican primaries and Romney will get the nomination. The smartest move he could make would be to take on Perry as VP. He would still lose in the general but but by perhaps a little less.
