US At Risk Of 'Biggest Mistake In Entire History'
AOL News ^ | August 31, 2011 | By Felicity Carus

The United States is at risk of making the "biggest mistake in its entire history" if recent political battles in Washington force the government to drop investment in clean energy, Vice President Joe Biden said yesterday.

Biden warned delegates at the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas yesterday: "We are at an inflection point in our history. If we don't make these investments and set these goals we are going to lose. This negative argument that we hear all the time is not new in America. There are naysayers in the political leadership who say that the government has no role and should not be setting a vision for the future by providing seed money for anything. But he said that history had repeatedly proved the positive impact of government investment on step changes in technology.

"Had we listened to those [naysayers] in 1843, Congress would never have collaborated with Samuel Morris to build a demonstration telegraph from Washington to Baltimore unleashing a telecommunications revolution.

"If President Lincoln had listened to those voices during the Civil War, he would never have paid private companies $16,000 for every 40 miles of track for the transcontinental railroad.

"And if President Eisenhower had listened to those voices, he would never have invested $25 million in research in an endeavor which invented ARPA net and became the internet.

"If President Kennedy had listened to those voices we would have never have reached the moon and reaped the incredible benefits that flowed from that efforts. I can assure you that President Obama and I aren't going to listen to those voices."

Joe Biden sole job is to make Obama look smart.

Amazing that these jerks live in a parallel universe where they don't have to exist under that laws that they shove down our throats: our political royalty don't have to use Soc Sec; don't have to use the health care system that we might be forced to use; don't have to drive "green" cars while they get hauled around in massive jets, limosines, and huge cars; don't have to live by any laws that they pass; are never prosecuted for the massive crimes they commit; etc.

Good old "Plugs" Biden keeps rambling on and on and on.

And here for a moment, I thought this thread would be about sending what was once history’s greatest manufacturing base, to history’s largest communist nation.

That would have been true.

I nominate a thread hijack. Buy American.

Absolutely. Until they are driving battery powered cracker boxes and living in dwellings totally devoid of anything using fossil fuel derived energy, they can go pound sand with their directives.

Until they lead by example, they just verify my assertion that what they actually seek is for the masses to be deprived of energy usage while the “ruling class” live the lives of the nomenklatura.

Old Joe apparently remembers the instances where federal government using peoples money did what the fed government is supposed to do for the people. However. he apparently lacks memory of the many instances the fed government squandered the peoples money particularly here of late.

The biggest mistake this country ever did was compromise with the Democrats in 1787 and enshrine slavery in our Constitution.

The second biggest mistake was allowing the Democrats to return to power in the South after the Civil War, thus ensuring a century of Jim Crow and KKK.

The thrid biggest mistake was letting the Democrats loot our national wealth the last 4 years,

Do you see a pattern here Joe?

The United States is at risk of making the "biggest mistake in its entire history" if recent political battles in Washington force the government to drop investment in clean energy,

What he's trying to say is: "We've been trying to destroy the U.S. from within for generations. This is our chance. If we don't strike now, all bets are off."

That photo is not of the official oath taking. The one oath that was done in private in Robert’s chambers was done without the bible shown in the photo. So who in the public knows what oath the usurper took. Robert’s will have to answer for this sometime.

I want Mr. Biden to be the first person to fly in a “clean energy” airliner. If he does, I will.

When so called “clean energy” makes a competitive breakthrough, it won’t need government promoting it. What we need right now is cheaper energy, and lots of it. The global warming scam is a fool’s game.
