Francesca Rice no longer serves in her country’s armed forces, but she brought a piece of the action back home with her.
It seems the Lakewood vet had stockpiled her Edgewater Towers condo with a home arsenal including handguns, shotguns, a sniper rifle — plus a Thompson sub-machine gun, just in case the pizza guy got fresh.
Her cache somehow caught the attention of Lakewood Police, who paid a visit last September. When they found Rice wasn’t home, they asked an obliging employee of the complex to open up the apartment without her consent. Once inside, they raided the gun rack, making off with 13 firearms worth around $15,000. The only problem: They had no apparent reason to.

I know vets who own full auto weapons. If you have the money and patience it’s not hard to get them if you live in a state where it’s legal.
I call BS though, because the whole collection was valued at $15,000. A single full auto would be that much alone.
Sounds like Ms Rice needs a Claymore setup on her front door.
Cops can’t steal guns when they get blown to little bits.
I picked up a semi-auto Thompson in a local gun shop just yesterday - chambered in .45 ACP.
Undoubtedly what she had.
Unlike what the police stole from MS Rice, Claymores are actually illegal. However, various sized muzzle loading short barreled carronade replicas are not, and while not as easily concealed as a Claymore are just as capable of being command detonated and just as capable of shredding a group.

The total collection is worth no where near $15K
Geez, how many Constitutional rights were they going for anyway? Is there a contest we don’t know about between officers to see who can trample the most rights? Do they get a bonus for breaking the most laws in the process?
You’ve got individual officers here that have broken their oaths. You’ve got their supervisors who have broken theirs. You’ve got the chief of police. You’ve got the city council and the mayor. The whole city’s leadership is in question here.
Sounds like this young woman could own the city before this is over. If the judge handling the case doesn’t act quickly, she could own him too.
The city’s attorney should have refused to take this to court. He should have ordered the officers to return the property has fast as they could. Instead he has compromised himself.
In essence you’ve got officers who committed armed robbery here. I know that sound crazy, but it’s exactly what took place. They were armed. They requested an employee of the apartment building open a door illegally under color or authority. They stole the weapons. The police department now has stolen property in it’s possession. They refuse to give it back even after having time to ponder their exposure.
You’ve got individual officers who could be brought up on charges. You’ve got supervisors who could be brought up on charges. You’ve got a police chief who could be brought up on charges.
Whoever is representing the officer should be held accountable as well.
These guys are guilty of crimes. They know the law. The list is long.
Here are some of the possibles...
Being armed in the commission of multiple crimes
Conspiracy to commit a crime
Co-conspirators to the crime prior to the act
Accessories to the crime after the fact
Fifteen counts of theft
Fifteen counts, the possession of stolen property
Illegal entry under the color of authority
Coercing a citizen to commit a crime under color of authority
Illegal search and seizure
Second Amendment violations
Fourth Amendment violations
Refusal to abide by the laws they swore to uphold.
The guy who opened the door for the officers could be brought up on charges too.
Illegally opening a door for officers without a warrant
Being an accomplice to:
Conspiracy
Illegal entry
Theft
The infringement of another persons constitutional rights
Any judge handling this case, should demand these people show up in court.
The officers who did this
All supervisors who know of this in advance
All officers who knew of this in advance
All officers who knew of this after the fact
All supervisors who knew of this after the fact
The police chief
Every one of these people participated in a crime.
Every one of these people either committed the crime, knew of the crime, approved of the crime, and failed to report the crime to someone higher up, even if that meant having to go outside the department to do so. Until this was addressed, they should have kept on telling the next person up the ladder. The district attorney, the FBI...
When you get right down to it, this is evidence of massive corruption.
There isn’t a cop in this nation that doesn’t know this was wrong. There isn’t an officer in this nation that doesn’t know what their duty is, once they know a crime has been committed.
True...but at one time, cops entering your home without a warrant and stealing your guns was illegal, too.
There is a least one admin mod who takes his/her copsucking seriously too. I got a thread pulled on the Detroit police shooting of the little girl because it was “controversial.” I’ve had posts pulled for using the term “copsucker”

If they ever torch my house with me in it, I hope some resourceful Freeper tracks down and publishes my full collection list, so y’all can give me a moment of respectful silence with your hat over your heart, and give my collection an honorable farewell.
Oh it's still illegal, but they were following the fine American tradition started by Colonel Francis Smith and General Gage. Cops just don't get held accountable for the crimes they commit while on the job.
Look on the cops’ Facebook pages. You’ll probably find pictures of one of them posing with that Thompson.

There are about a hundred of them on the national firearms registration and transfer record legally registered. Most of them are owned by Dillon and one guy that works at THiolkol? that has most of the HE M203 rounds that are legal.
Form a company and get a type 10 FFL/02 and make them yourself! I just wish it was that easy.
Any moment now, the ACLU will be issuing a statement that Ms. Rice’s 2nd, 5th and 14th Amendment rights were just violated.

And posters arguing *what a gun was worth bah-blah-blah* who the heck cares?....the *IMPORTANT* thing is that god-given rights were violated ....and those of you who don’t live in Connecticut and similar places, have *NO* idea how insidious these rogue cops are...and your enabling neighbors who will turn you in at the drop of a hat.
I think every gun owner in Ohio should show up on the steps of Lakewood Police Chief Timothy Malley’s jail house, and *nicely* ask for her collection back. No matter *what* the damn stuff is worth. Immediately.

True, but practically speaking it's pretty much impossible to get a legal one which is why I mad the observation about the replica carronades. In the battle of Trafalgar the first shot that the Victory fired was from a carronade that killed a number of French sailors and marines. Nelson's carronades were 3 ton monsters that fired an entire barrel of musket balls as well as round shot at the same time, but a scaled down version is still effective.
