Jury unable to reach verdict in killing of gay student Larry King

A jury has been unable to reach a verdict in the murder trial of Brandon McInerney, the 17-year-old accused of shooting a gay classmate to death in 2008.

The jury began deliberating Friday, weighing eight weeks of testimony in a trial that included nearly 100 witnesses. Many of those testifying were students and teachers at E.O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard who saw tensions on campus rising after 15-year-old Larry King began coming to school dressed in makeup and girl's boots.

McInerney, then 14, shot King twice in the back of the head in a school computer lab on Feb. 12, 2008. The prosecution says it was a calculated murder carried out in part because McInerney was exploring white supremacist ideology and didn't like homosexuals.

Defense attorneys painted a different picture, that of a bright but abused 14-year-old who snapped after being sexually harassed by King.

The trial was followed closely by gay-rights groups that have fought hard to protect gay and transgendered students from campus bullying. But as the weeks of testimony rolled on and a more nuanced portrait emerged of what was happening at E.O. Green in the weeks before the shooting, it also raised a host of thorny questions.

“The trial was followed closely by gay-rights groups that have fought hard to protect homosexual and transgendered students from campus bullying.”

No, what they want is a free ticket to sexually harass their fellow students without repurcussions.
They want their aggressive non-stop come ons to be protected by law so that their victims cannot fight back or protect themselves.
That’s what they want.

This is a sad sequence of events. The gay kid was a freak, a bully, and a genuinely bad kid who enjoyed hurting others and was enabled by his parents and other adults, but none of those flaws merits killing him - if the adults in the school had done their job. The killer was abandoned and failed by every adult in his life, including his parents, teachers, school administrators, and finally the prosecutors. I can’t imagine how American values deteriorated to the point where no one was willing to do the right thing throughout this entire sequence of blunders.

Perhaps, they simply would like not to be shot in the back of the head by a violent deranged psychopath.

The Two-Parent Family has been under attack by the Marxist from ever since. This is the result.

The violent deranged psychopath was the one shot in the head.

Sorry, homosexuals that I have run into one and all would not take ‘no’ for an answer.
During Basic training at Fort Sill I had to deal with one such piece of trash.
Even after having his face knocked in repeatedly he refused to take ‘no’ for an answer.

And what I spelled out is exactly the truth.
It has nothing to do with the homoesexual student being bullied.
The pro-homo advocates do not care about that now dead student.
They want to secure free reign to harass people who aren’t interested.
Don’t believe me?
Fine, you are free to do so.

Some would argue that a person who was a bully and who genuinely enjoyed hurting others is best removed from society.

Lesson here is that if you torment other people you just might get what you deserve.

All the enablers of the “gay” bully deserve punishment;the victim who finally fights back when no one will protect him and stop the bullying shouldn’t be punished even more.

I’m sorry, this case is pretty clear cut. A fourteen year old kid brought a gun to school and shot someone execution style. Does the school share some fault for letting King act the way he did? Yes. But the kid, both of them, knew exactly what they were doing. A guy coming up and flirting with you does not justify killing them.

And the family is disgusting. They knew about abuse going on in the home and just stood by? Isn’t this how serial killers develop?

A thorny question would be “why does current American society tolerate aggressive deviant behavior?”

People are crazy idiots today. Many people. I tell my children to act appropriately because there are many people who will hurt them at the drop of a hat.

No, he didn’t want to be shot in the back of the head. The kid that shot him, didn’t want to be abused by his druggie father. But these people are out there. We need to teach our kids that we must act appropriate at all times.

So the bullies who got killed by the kids at Columbine deserved it and the kids who shot them shouldn’t have been punished even more?

King’s actions were disgusting. But they weren’t grounds for murder.

I agree, but at age 14, killing a bully when all adults have refused to intervene is very different from the sort of predatory murder that justifies trial as an adult. They should have tried the killer in juvenile court, where a guilty verdict on some charge would have been more appropriate. Adult murder and a hate crime (as if the second charge matters with murder) was excessive, and that is, I assume, why the jury could not decide.

“So the bullies who got killed by the kids at Columbine deserved it and the kids who shot them shouldn’t have been punished even more?”

That appears to be exactly what some are saying here.

These people are doing nothing less than justifying cold blooded murder.

And here come the attacks “Trumandogz supports the homosexual agenda since he is opposed to murdering gays!”
