IF she’s in the debate, then she’s running...I’m not sure what the difficulty is here.
No kidding. They are like Ron Paul supporters. Their candidate is PERFECT and they will accept no substitutes.
I wonder if they know that Sarah Palin is actually in favor of limited amnesty for illegal aliens just like Perry.
What is funny is that the Palinites are accusing Perry of the same kind of stuff that Palin haters accused her of doing.
Palin is smart enough to know she is out of the race at this point. She has played the "coy" routine so long that it is now no longer cute. I wish she had been more straightforward. It is funny that the Palin people are so against politicians who don't say what is on their mind. But Palin seems to hold her intentions so close to the vest that nobody can figure out what she is thinking. In that sense she is being deceptive, not only to the MSM, but to those of us who have been her most ardent supporters.
The delay thing has hurt Sarah. It is the only thing many even have against her, because it told us some time ago that she wasn’t running. Now comes The Undefeated which broke nationally last night on PPV. I watched it and it was a BRAVO watch! Now I have decided that the release of that documentary MAY have been what all this dang delay was about, to see if its release boosts her negatives. It may. It was inspiring, of course. I wonder if it came too late. The incessant delay made so many disgusted that by now they might not watch it. I say the results will be in, on the movie, in 10-14 days and she will get in, or decline. Either way she will be all over the US fighting the good fight for the nominee because that is for sure her calling. She may give ‘em hell in 2016, but if trends hold Rubio will be the one to beat also.
As for Perry, blaming him for some clod kicker’s enthusiasm
in Iowa is still ridiculous. Heck, Rick is probably just now even hearing about the SP dust up with O’Donnell, given his own schedule. Sarah needs to calm the waters or light the fire herself. And soon.
but to those of us who have been her most ardent supporters.
Could you make up your mind ??
Tsk, tsk.
Palin Says Brewer Has Something Obama Lacks: 'Cojones'- August 01,2010
"Jan Brewer has the cojones that our president does not have," she said. "If our own president will not enforce our federal law, more power to Jan Brewer."
I have stated repeatedly that if Palin does not announce by tomorrow, then I am all in for Perry.
Who is your candidate?
Has your candidate announced?
Will your candidate EVER announce?
Color me shocked! In case anyone doesn't know Eric Erickson has never had anything nice to say about Sarah Palin. Says alot about RedState.com.
You would have abandoned Reagan then. He announced Nov 13, 1979. Such a dithering old man! /s
Okay, thanks. I just read the articles you linked, and I was hoping you could help me understand even better: Do you consider him to be a RINO because he liked Pawlenty and dissed Radtke?
Never seen so many impatient people in my life...Christmas must have been sheer hell for them when they were kids...
Ken Crow and Rick Perry were photographed together last Saturday, but no one has any idea what they might have said to each other...
If she does NOT announce on Saturday; then perhaps it would be worth my while to attend her appearance in Manchester on Monday...we’ll see.
Sarah is stepping into New Hampshire at an interesting moment in time...conservative ‘Tea Party’ chairman of the GOP Jack Kimball just resigned last night...a victory for Romney RINO’s...
Amen onyx. Thank you. She is following Sun Tzu and doing it very well. Know your adversaire - their strengths and weaknesses. Then attack. We are almost there.
Why everybody keep on forgetting that Reagan declared in NOVEMBER!!! Clinton even later? So WHY Sarah should be different? Why so much hate...damn.
Um, I guess it all depends on which end of the gun you're looking at. Being a Palin supporter has been a long hard grueling task of late, and it hasn't been Palin that has made it that way. From day one we were getting clobbered with the several different untrue anti-Palin memes, all floated out by her bitterest enemies, all absorbed uncritically by the indecisives, and all rammed down our throats here at FR incessantly for months and months by, shall we say, the usual suspects. That can make a person a bit testy.
Of course, you realize that is part of the design of propaganda, dont you? The effort involved to keep truth at the forefront becomes supernormal, so exhausting that a predictable percentage of would-be defenders just start finding it easier to go with the flow. This is Alinsky's isolation effect. It is subrational, in that it derives from emotional associations, not reason, but it is relatively easy to predict, and therefore can be manufactured at will in a willing population.
I say it is subrational, because if reason were truly the guide to understanding Palin, don't you think we would be ignoring these stories en masse if they came, as this one has, with no confirmatory word from the Palin camp, especially since she specifically told us to look for such confirmations before accepting such stories?
But why don't they just deny it when a fake story comes out, you say. Don't you get it? Sometimes a denial is a good thing, but sometimes a denial is just a way to force Team Palin to reveal data prematurely. This is a game that is played with the currency of timely data. Her enemies understand this perfectly, as does she.
Nevertheless, you come here, not to clarify and help point us in the direction of a more rational approach, but to decry the intellectual and emotional maturity of Palin supporters, and in so doing show yourself willing to aid and abet the subrational process of destroying her by allowing the phony whipsaw manufactured by her opponents have its full propagandistic effect. I see an inconsistency in that.
Because the reality is, if you subtract out all the data not generated directly by her, her messaging becomes quite clear and stable. It is only in the echo chamber of bias for another candidate that you begin to accept the "Alinsky noise" as if it were the reality, and that is just where your own power of decision begins to be replaced by the manipulators pushing you to those false conclusions. Is that really where you want to be?
BTW, I am not arguing nor have I ever argued that Palin is perfect. I am arguing she is better, by miles, than anyone else in the race, officially or otherwise, especially if what you really want is not just the removal of Obama, but the wholesale uprooting of the poisonous weeds he will leave behind. No one is better suited to that task that Sarah. No one else in the race is an existential threat to the bureauocratic entrenchment of the left. The whole "we think she's perfect" meme is false. We know she's not perfect. She knows she's not perfect. But she is the best person for this job, bar none, and if that's really what you want, then you have to keep the Palin Option open.
She should enter the race if she is going to debate. This may be another false rumour, but I don’t see why she should campaign and not be a candidate.
If she is holding out to see if she could win, well, there is no way to know unless you are a declared candidate.
The numbers may improve if she enters and competes.
This stuff is becoming irritating.
Yes she was, she filed all the papers and paid the fees, she announced prior to the debate.
The official work was completed.
Congrats! Your reaction is exactly what the media/establishment is aiming for. Not one of these “rumors” have come from anyone NEAR the Palin camp. Like Rush says, they’ll always tell you who they fear most.
Cindie
It has nothing to do with a verbal announcement. It is official after you file the paperwork and pay the fees to run.
Bachmann had done that prior to announcing.
