Another moronic Democrat asking if Perry is dumb when our idiot-in-chief tries to run the economy with no understanding of simple micro or macroeconomics. Beautiful.
Let the fool play golf. He does less damage that way.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
And I should further add the more you hear the criticism coming from these washed out, brainless leftists, the more I find myself liking Perry.

“Can Perry Be Stopped?”
Not bleeding likely!!!
With Palin’s endorsement, he’s rock solid.
Also, there is an entire constellation of Conservative talent right now. Every single one of these people running for the nomination are enormously capable and necessary to an immediate Conservative victory against “O”.
Support for all of them will assure the success of Conservatism for deacades to come.

Of course he can.
The vast majority of Americans have no idea who he is, except he’s been flogged by the media of late as the tea party candidate (wherever that came from!) with a good record as TX guv.
They’ve not so much as seen him in a debate or give a speech—or heard any real details about his record. (E.g., on ethics and illegal immigration and actual government spending)
To: Cincinatus' Wife
Well, Perry could bomb in the debate next week but not likely.
It is likely, however, that NBC and POLITICO will ask him some gotcha questions but I thnk his charm could get him out of a tough spot.
If Bush survived the debates than Perry should have no problem.

"Can Perry Be Stopped?" Nope, he'll self-destruct within one month, and nothing can stop him. The first two debates will seal it.

Only by himself. I don't think the establishment Republicans will be able to over ride the desires of conservatives with their attacks and lies. As long as Perry performs up to expectations in the first debate it's all over but the counting. If he flubs the first one, he will still have a second chance in the following debate . . . if he can't score a knockout then, then everything will change and we may wind up with Romney as the chosen one.
Palin is not running, Bachmann is neither experienced enough nor electable, Cain never got off the ground, ditto Santorum (unfortunately), Newt--Nah! (he's smart enough, but too much RINO-go along to get along, Huntsman--BWahahahaha . . . ergo stuck with Mitt and a very unhappy Republican base.

What I like about Perry is that antilife people are calling him antichoice.
What I don’t like about Perry is his tuition for illegals’ position.
There are more likes, and dislikes, but that’s enough at this late hour.
He seems a lot like Bush 43, but I do think he will spend less, and be tougher than Bush.
