Black Unemployment: Highest In 27 Years ["Hope and Change" Was Slogan For Idiots!]

Black Unemployment: Highest In 27 Years

By Annalyn Censky September 2, 2011

The unemployment rate for blacks surged to 16.7% in August, its highest rate since 1984, the Labor Department reported Friday.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The August jobs report was dismal for plenty of reasons, but perhaps most striking was the picture it painted of racial inequality in the job market.

Black unemployment surged to 16.7% in August, its highest level since 1984, while the unemployment rate for whites fell slightly to 8%, the Labor Department reported.

"This month's numbers continue to bear out that longstanding pattern that minorities have a much more challenging time getting jobs," said Bill Rodgers, chief economist with the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University.

Black unemployment has been roughly double that of whites since the government started tracking the figures in 1972.

Economists blame a variety of factors. The black workforce is younger than the white workforce, lower numbers of blacks get a college degree and many live in areas of the country that were harder hit by the recession -- all things that could lead to a higher unemployment rate. But even excluding those factors, blacks still are hit with higher joblessness.

I’m not sure what their definition is for the word “Hope.”

Hope. Noun. City in Arkansas. Boyhood home of the first black president: Bill Clinton.

"Even when you compare black and white workers, same age range, same education, you still see pretty significant gaps in unemployment rates," said Algernon Austin, director of the Race, Ethnicity, and the Economy program at the Economic Policy Institute. "So I do think the fact of racial discrimination in the labor market continues to play a role."

I don't care what Algernon Austin thinks. The fact is, young black men don't want to do what it takes. If they wanted to work, we would not have millions of illegals here. Most of them, with the complicity of their parents, piss away their free educational opportunity. The black males who do graduate high school, as Walter Williams has pointed out, have the equivalent of an eighth grade education.

The vast majority of blacks, with every opportunity, push for every socialist program presented. We would not have Obama's socialized medicine breathing down our necks if it weren't for black Americans. They wanted it, and did not care that they were demanding the enslavement of other Americans. As far as I'm concerned, the day Obama care was voted in was the day blacks lost any right to bitch about slavery.

Fact C: Many Employers have learned facts A and B the hard way.

Here's a relevant story: I used to work at a liquor store managed by a middle-aged woman for for some reason was suspicious of people with beards. One day, against her better judgment, she hired a clerk who wore a beard. "He seems like a good enough guy," she told me. About a month later the guy absconded with the money in the till, never to be seen again. "That's it!" she told me. "I'll never hire another fuzz-face again!"

It’s not the fault of White people. The White people of this country have invested more money and energy trying to help black people over the past fifty years than we put into putting a man on the moon or winning the Second World War.

"Sure it is, Whitey. You helped us wrong!"

what I am seeing where I am is there are a lot of latino people working and other races have been displaced by this.

I saw a flyer stating that this lack of employment is racist against white people?

Zero jobs in August. It's the great goose egg economy. He really is President Zero. But wait... hang on... there's another speech coming. The health care industry added 30,000 jobs in August.

There once was an unknown man
 with a new Marxist plan
 I'll distribute your wealth
 and give you free health
But the debt soon hit the fan
In A Ditch2
$2 trillion of QE and 860 billion flushed down the DC crapper - and it got us what?

A lot of new hiring by big government and food-stamp offices!

Zer0's class-warfare tour of 2012 is under way. It's all the Rats have. Saul Alinsky would be so proud.

Zer0 will frame it in the context that Americans see one side not willing to work with the other to move the country forward... Dems good, GOP bad. His 'mother of all recovery spending plans' would have saved or created millions of jobs if only Congress had accepted my proposal. The piss-stream media stooges will all chime in and agree about how we could have seen green shoots if only that evil Tea Party hadn't stopped Zer0's plan.

Then he'll lie about the economy. That's all he's got.

Or maybe another 'only on the bus for an hour a day' road trip!

We much resist! I say we much! He his is one and done.

The annihilation of the Democrat Party in 2012 is so close I can taste it.

Allowing 300,000 illegal alien invaders to get work cards will certainly help the situation.
What, you disagree?
But Oboma insist, surely he would not betray the “Black’s” who overwhelmingly voted him into office based on nothing more than his skin color and empty socialist promises?

I personally would much rather works with non-”Hood” or “Gangsta” people with high melanin content skin than illegal aliens!

It truly baffles me that the alleged “Black Leadership” makes no effort to get our immigration laws enforced.

I was with my brother one time when we were driving into a small town to get to the next tower. It was about 10:30 in the morning, and I was wondering why so many people were out in the streets. When I got to the center of town I realised that me and my brother were the only people that did not fit. I was getting a lot of dirty looks so I asked a young gentleman with a brown bag in his hand what was going on in a town like this when not a holiday. He said: Get out whitey befo we killz your azz. I said okay. We proceeded to drive out. True story.

I've been saying the same thing for years.

I did a research paper a long time ago that convinced me W.E.B Dubois was really a communist all along but wisely chose to hide it until he was safely out of the country. His unstated plan was to start a race war and then use the inevitable massacre as political leverage against the evil white man. After the untimely death of B.T. Washington, the civil rithts movement became dominated by the Dubois wing culminating in MLK.

It has destroyed White people too.

The White family is now at the point where the black family was in the 1960s. We are in a downward spiral.

Ultimately, the economy is just an extension of a people and their culture, an extension of our souls and our minds, which is reflected in our behavior.

There is nothing that can be done at this point to stop the economy from collapsing. If you rot the foundation of a civilization at its most basic level, the family unit and its religion, eventually the whole damn edifice will come toppling down.

The crisis is far, far worse in Europe than America I am afraid. I can’t imagine what kind of chaos these nations like Greece and Spain and Italy are about to plunge into.

The argument between W.E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington was the most important argument of the 20th century in Black America.

Booker T. believed in racial reconciliation, economic self improvement, and moral uplift - the Japanese version of progress.

OTOH, DuBois believed in black empowerment through identity politics, lawsuits, nursing racial grievances, wealth redistribution, and social equality - the Soviet Union version of progress.

W.E.B. DuBois won the argument, but was overshadowed by Martin Luther King, Jr. who mainstreamed his philosophy in American culture.

After MLK, Booker T. Washington became an Uncle Tom, a race traitor, a groveling segregationist fool, etc. Increasingly, he had been forgotten because the federal government had been so successful in disguising its social engineering.

Here is the statue of Booker T. in Tuskegee:

http://www.notduck.com/images09/al_washingtonstatue.jpg

Have you ever read his book Up From Slavery? In this statue, Booker T. shows the former slave that the road to freedom and independence is through developing a strong moral character, through developing practical entrepreneurial skills, through reconciling with White people, through living a Christian life.

Over 100 years later, black people are enslaved again to the welfare state and the government job, and find themselves totally helpless under the first black president who bailed out Wall Street with over a trillion dollars.

Al Sharpton is on television, but black people have lost 87 percent of their net worth in three years! Can you believe it?

The fact is, Booker T. and George Washington Carver were widely respected in Alabama, even in the Jim Crow South. People here liked Carver and respected him because he was a scientist who did useful things.

Does anyone respect Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson?

One large electronics recycling company I used to work for east coast’s facility believed that if enough are hired and fired, a business can run.

I was one of three white guys there and probably one of two that wasn’t a jerk or whatever. To make a long story short, all that got me was driven off the very job I was strung along for since I was the only one with said qualifications. The guy who replaced me with another favorite the AA (two faced) manager hired lasted 4 or 5 months with one fired for stealing.

I’m not sure if I would believe the charge considering the veractity factor of managers company wide. A prime example would be the head of internet sales telling me as policy to press capacitors down and clean them up and mark as fixed. Then said units were sold to unsuspecting Ebay customers.
