Rick Perry Leads While Voters Want Sarah Palin on the Sidelines
Sunshine State News ^ | September 3, 2011 | Kevin Derby

Posted on 09/03/2011 7:24:40 AM PDT by AAABEST

A Fox News Poll unveiled late Thursday revealed that Gov. Rick Perry of Texas held a solid lead over former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

(snip)

When other candidates -- including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani -- were added to the mix, Perry remained in the lead. Both Palin and Giuliani have left the door open to running for the Republican presidential nomination.

Perry led that scenario with 26 percent followed by Romney with 18 percent. Palin took third with 8 percent followed by Paul with 7 percent.

(snip)

When Fox News looked at all voters, they found very little support for a possible Palin presidential campaign. Palin will be stumping in Iowa, which holds the first caucus, and New Hampshire, home of the first presidential primary, over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Only 20 percent of all voters wanted Palin to run for the White House while 74 percent opposed the idea -- and the voters who wanted her staying out of the contest included a large part of her base.

A mere 25 percent of Republicans backed a Palin presidential candidacy while 71 percent were lined up against it. Even among voters who considered themselves part of the tea party movement, Palin flopped. Only 28 percent of the tea party voters supported Palin entering the race while 66 percent opposed it.

I watched a rerun of Braveheart last night, it reminded me that evil politicians are inbred narcissists. They never cede power voluntarily.

Amazing how many Million$ are spent to combat an opponent without a hope of winning...as they say over and over and over. Perhaps the whole Rhinocracy is a group of misunderstood philanthropists who stay awake nights trying to find ways to save Sarah Palin from disappointment.

Or, perhaps the propaganda techniques RINO Republicans borrowed from Obama coopted from Goebbels are just a long skirt covering their knocking knees. What say you?

Confucius says: The difference between confidence and constipation is that people rarely believe in themselves when they know they are full of s***. Really, no kidding...Confucius and I were sharing a bottle of Almaden Mountain Red, and that’s just what he said. ;)

FOX has been increasingly hostile to Sarah Palin, you can think it is reflecting reality, or trying to change it. Your choice.

Personally I think they have been given their script, by whom is a matter of speculation for me, others may know facts, I just have gut feelings.

“I will still vote for Sarah Palin, even if she doesn’t run”

You are planning to possibly write in a throw away vote and I’m the clown?

Okay then.

"If you care about saving the Republic you will quit the childish attacks on the very people that could bring a little sanity to the government process, you know someone that actually speaks truthfully all the time, not just at election time.

The Republic ended when Obama took the oath of office. Only one man stood up for it and was soundly trashed by many here including the management.

I'll write in LTC Lakin on the presidential ballot. The rest of the cowards can go straight to hell.

The real title should be, “Rick Perry Leads While Voters on the Sidelines Want Sarah Palin”

That is the Fantasy of Denial.

This is the Reality of the Facts.

“Delusional. She is going to slam crony capitalists (ie-Rick Perry and friends) in her Indianola speech and then turn around and endorse him?!” ..... Brices Crossroads

She endorsed him for Governor. Was he NOT a crony capitalist then? ..... Grunthor

The "Crony Capitalism = Perry" agitprop has been picked up and repeated by left-wing media outlet after left-wing media outlet. The Washington Post article on Palin used by Drudge today ends:

The “crony capitalism” was described as a veiled attack against Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has been criticized for handing out favors to political supporters.

However, as explained in the first comment of a thread I posted yesterday, "Crony Capitalism" has been a long-standing Sarah Palin theme that has absolutely nothing to do with Rick Perry. (Below)

===========================

Crony capitalism: Perry’s Achilles heel? (Media agitprop distorting Sarah’s long-term position)

Once hints about Sarah Palin’s speech on September 3 began to leak out, it seems that the Left-wing media has latched on to a new line of attack against the GOP front-runner: The media claims that Sarah Palin is specifically targeting Rick Perry by the use of the phrase “Crony Capitalism”. This line of attack is now being picked up by other left-wing media including CNN.

Palin will up the ante but not announce run in Iowa speech ….. Palin plans to unleash a furious criticism of "crony capitalism" and attack the "permanent political class" in both parties: thinly veiled criticisms of Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has surged to the top of most polls for the Republican presidential nomination

The truth is that “Crony Capitalism”, where the Federal Government in general and the Democrats in particular pick winners and losers by interfering with the marketplace and “decide which firms to rescue or close, and which creditors to reward and how” has been a long-standing Sarah Palin theme.

What Sarah Palin means by “Crony Capitalism” is explained by Sarah Palin herself in this article written by Sarah a year and a half ago, back in April, 2010, before Rick Perry was even reelected Governor of Texas and before Perry was even on the Presidential radar screen.

Institutionalizing Crony Capitalism, by Sarah Palin on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 7:28pm

What was Sarah Palin doing in February, 2010, two months before she wrote her “Crony Capitalism” article?

Sarah was endorsing Rick Perry for reelection at a joint Houston rally.

08 February 2010 .... Palin brings out crowd for Perry rally near Houston

Be aware of what the left-wing media agitprop is trying to accomplish here.

I never saw that YouTube video. Quite telling.

Just as I'm typing this Sarah is wrapping up her Iowa thingy. We were all supposed to be waiting with baited breath on the edge of our seats. It was the super-duper big day.

At least that was the impression left (or the impression that was allowed to continue uncorrected) by the Sarah campaign... or non-campaign.. or whatever it is.

The supposed big day was quite anti-climactic. All I saw was a politician giving a speech. BFD.

“Sarah can decide on her own, why establishment and Fox news loons are forcing their own opinion on independent citizen.”

Sure she can, but if she runs now she likely loses now.

And Ronald Reagan, one-time Democrat, no doubt voted for Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman.

What does that make him?

Oh yeah. Ronald Reagan.

Polls are for strippers and cross country skiers.

Fox clearly went out of their way to snub Gov Palin. My prediction is that we will not see her again on Fox.

CNN is being fairer to Sarah than Fox is, and for some time now.

There is no fair and balanced network anymore.

Fox showed re runs rather than show her speech today, I will remember I wonder if Sarah will?
