"Only 20 percent of all voters wanted Palin to run for the White House while 74 percent opposed the idea -- and the voters who wanted her staying out of the contest included a large part of her base. "

Most people don't like to be played with, even by Sarah Palin. Since she's been "running" -- will she or won't she -- for the past two years, there is absolutely no reason for her not to have declared that she is officially in the race months ago.

Sarah Palin is Fred Thompson in a skirt, just better looking, more energetic, smarter, but the same tease -- and guess who is going to be left "holding the bag", her supporters who are still waiting and will still be waiting for her to jump into the race Nov 1, 2012.

What a joke! You don’t know anything about Palin if you are comparing her to Fred Thompson....she isn’t lazy and her run for the governorship is AK had her go into the outer regions looking for a vote- just this past month during the Iowa fair she was out there for 9 hours meeting and greeting people and talking to the press

Sarah Palin is Fred Thompson in a skirt....

This metaphor works very well for me. As an early supporter of Fred Thompson in the 2008 campaign, he became a somewhat expensive disappointment to me. I wish Sarah would either get in or forget it.

I cannot think of a more vicious remark about anyone! Sarah Palin is about as far from that phony globalist Fred Thompson as the East coast is fro9m the West coast! And right now I am for Michelle Bachmann.

Oh, piff.

Part of me wants Palin to run simply so I can see all the egg on all the faces.

First for the "She won't run" mantra...then for when she turns the race on its ear.

Chris Christie has shown there's an appetite for plain speaking.
