Political parties congregate at opposite ends of spectrum
Talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh has never been shy about expressing his opinion, from how America never will improve under Barack Obama even to questions about Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office. And now his undiluted expressions of truth have generated an opinion about his work from large segments of the population who claim they never listen to him.
The surprising results came in a new scientific telephone survey of nearly l,100 respondents conducted Aug. 20-22 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.93 percentage points. It was done by Wenzel Strategies.
While nearly 60 percent of the respondents claim they never listen to the dominant voice on the radio airwaves today, only 15 percent were unsure whether Limbaugh is helpful or harmful to the U.S., and almost exactly the same number were unable to rate his performance.
In the poll, 56 percent said Limbaugh is doing an excellent, good or fair job, while only 28 percent said his performance was poor. Fifteen percent had no opinion.
More than 51 percent said his work is very helpful or somewhat helpful to the nation, while 34 percent said he was very harmful or somewhat harmful. Again, 15 percent held no opinion.
"Even among the very liberal, 42 percent said he was helpful to America," said Fritz Wenzel, president of Wenzel Strategies. "There is a significant gender gap for Limbaugh, as 59 percent of all men considered him helpful to America, just 43 percent of women agreed. That said, more women than not agreed that Limbaugh is helpful to America just 38 percent of women said he was harmful, while 19 percent were not sure.

With 56% give him a somewhat thumbs up from a pool where 60% say they never listen to him . . . . . Combine that with all of the negative MSM drumbeats against him;
Obamy, you and your cohorts in deep kaka!
most libs i know hate rush, but when i ask them
have you listened to him,
they answer, no.
Rush has a talent for cutting through the smog and factually explaining how ‘it is’.....he is the best Civics teacher many of us ever had...he understands and we learn from him. The article fails to mention Limbaugh is 99% right in his remarks about this government.
Actually, his accuracy is 99.6% as last reported.
60% have never listened to him, yet their opinion is considered in a “scientific” survey. Right.
An article about Palin or Rush ... sure way to get your name in the paper.
“while 34 percent said he was very harmful or somewhat harmful”
This jives with my observed percentage of Americans that are liberals.
Was he ever serious? He joked about it. I dunno if he ever devoted a show about the credibility of it. He's usually pretty drive by about it, which is typical of him.
You do realize that's a joke, right?
>>>An article about Palin or Rush ... sure way to get your name in the paper.
And a sure way to get multiple threads started here for the same article :)
Actually, that' a little gag he plays.
When one listens carefully, he claims something such as..."almost always right 99.xxx percent..."
...Re-stocking The ammo depot for later...
It's the typical liberal/socialist/marxist mindset. Follow the sheep.
He's usually pretty drive by about it, which is typical of him----I dunno if he ever devoted a show about the credibility of it.That says more about you than him.
Best humor based on FACT.

Simnple. Is it credible?
Point?
