Posted on 09/03/2011 4:04:09 PM PDT by jessduntno

Texas Gov. Rick Perry called in to Mark Levin's radio show and the two had a wide-ranging conversation. Levin ended by saying, while he is not endorsing anyone yet for the GOP Nomination, Perry is "up there with candidates acceptable to me."

My apologies if this has been posted. I just found it and was on all day yesterday and didn't see it.

Not endorsing Perry...will be a Palin supporter when she announces...wondering if Mark Levin can call Perry acceptable, what am I missing in the great Perry is a RINO debate?

Is The Great One now suspect?

Levin is a hard show to go on, Perry at least DID it.

Palin isn’t in YET, until she is or isn’t why waste time on her?
Romney is afraid of Levin and won’t take the risk, and Should be afraid. But he is the “Establishment” Republican pick! (Double bag barf!)
Cain went on Levin’s show, but isn’t winning enough over to get any wins.
Newt...Why is he still in this at all? he should have quit months ago.
Bachmann, still hasn’t got enough following. Can she get it together before it is too late?
Ron Paul? Levin wouldn’t ever endorse him. He has a fanatical small following, but not going to win it and should have known it by now.
Hunstman = Lefty

THE BIG QUESTION

If Perry wins the Nomination are you NOT going to vote for him and get Obama for another 4 years?

FYI - I am NOT a Perry supporter or backer at all. I’d prefer Palin or Bachmann. But I’d take RON PAUL over Obama.

“Is The Great One now suspect?”

Obviously. He’s a cad and a bottom-feeder.

However, even though Mrs. Palin endorsed Perry in his run for governor, she gets a pass.

Hypocricy plus brain-dead stupidness, and all that by the Perry haters.

Levin is the best source for information on constitutional and legal questions and he can put on a good rant on various political topics. But I haven’t found him to be very insightful or useful when it comes to picking candidates for office.

Once again, a Perry thread invites the Palin Derangement syndrome used to be conservative types.

If you support Palin thats fine, But this list of mindful accolades yields UNQUESTIONABLE conservative bonafides.

Review "The necessary book of the Obama era." -- Jeffrey Lord, The American Spectator
"Levin has delivered a stalwart conservative manifesto written by a conservative who doesn't want to re-brand and repackage conservatism into liberalism. He draws on founding principles, not polls, to lay out the agenda for the Right -- and to illuminate the fatal flaws of statism." -- Michelle Malkin
"This is quite simply the most important book of our times." -- Scott Miller, The Conservative Post
"This has the answer for everything you've asked yourself about yourself, and why you believe what you believe." -- Rush Limbaugh
"Liberty and Tyranny is Mark Levin: a man who loves his family and country and believes ideas have consequences -- and therefore will fight passionately for what he believes and knows to be true." -- Kathryn Jean Lopez, National Review
"While it may present itself as a "conservative manifesto" (and it is that, too) it is also a compelling primer on the most basic principles of the American political order." -- Gary L. McDowell, American Thinker
"Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto couldn't be more relevant or important. It is a masterful restatement of conservative principles that is succinct...and yet comprehensive. It is thoughtful and deep but highly readable. It is timely yet timeless." -- David Limbaugh, TownHall.com
"This is a superbly useful book. It is the perfect companion for the college freshman to fortify the student against what he or she is about to hear. It is an ideal detoxicant for the graduating senior. Most vitally, it should be read by those who do not consider themselves conservatives, because it carefully lays out the central historic, philosophic and constitutional relationship between conservative principles and our individual freedom." -- Tony Blankley, The Washington Times
"If you want to rediscover true conservatism, read Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny. If you want to help preserve liberty, buy copies for your kids." -- Terry Jeffrey, CNS News
"It is a rarity that an important book arrives at its perfect moment. Such is the case with Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto...Against this tidal wave, Mark Levin offers not so much a defense as a plan of attack, a clarion call to roll back the seas of Change." -- Andrew C McCarthy, The New Criterion

To wit. (and I like Plain, but this cadre needs to wake up) Mark Levin wrote a book on Conservatve idealism, that Palin can only spout as bromides.

Yet, because he 'could' back Perry, now He's the next establishment Republican In Name Only.

You people are descending into the type of ridicule we used to heap on the DU types.

Perry reminds me of the high school senior that was very popular with most of the kids.

His inside circle knew he was rather abusive to other students and the girls on campus. Problem is, they wanted to be in the in-crowd, so they clammed up about it.

Then the guy gets elected class president.

I’m not making the case that Perry has been abusive at all, he’s still not fit to lead our nation and we all know it. Never the less, some of us still want to remain in the click.

The talking heads are the school faculty that think this kid walks on water, when some of the kids see him for who he really is.

Wake up folks. Please don’t help this lout become class president.

Yes. Clearly mediocre. So what does that say about Sarah's judgment?

(speaking about Perry)

“If at the end of the line he’s the one left standing, I would be extremely enthused about him because I’m a believer in ABO – anybody but Obama. So, absolutely. But there’s still a long time in this process,” Palin said,

“Levin is great, but I didn’t like the interview.”

I don’t get it, either. What’s up with this?...and I don’t hear any explanations except Levin is now a RINO? No. That’s not true. And we all know it.

I don’t like it when something like this happens. Someone is ginning up something and I don’t like it.

It’s inexplicable.

I listen to Mark Levin frequently, but sometimes disagree with him. There is no way I can support Perry given his stand on illegal immigration or open borders. I respect Sarah Palin far more that Levin, but wouldn't support Perry even if he had her solid endorsement.

Illegal immigration and open borders is far too important an issue.
