Mandeville, LA Its a unique solution to the wild hog problem in Texas and a cartridge guide, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk (R) Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Keith Nichols started Hogs Gone Wild in 2009, after landowners continued telling him to kill as many hogs as he wanted. Realizing there was a lot of meat available on the hogs, Nichols started his non-profit organization that pairs hunters with land owners and farmers with a hog problem, and then donates the hog meat to area shelters. Hogs Gone Wild also raises money for scholarships for kids of wounded military veterans. More information is available at http://www.hogsgonewild.org/.
Andrew Chamberlain has compiled the Cartridge Comparison Guide, which compares every factory available cartridge from the 17 calibers up to the 50 caliber cartridges. It compiles cartridge data from all major ammunition manufacturers such as Hornady, Nosler, Barnes, Swift, Norma, Sierra, Weatherby, Winchester, Remington, and Federal, and includes pictures and detailed narrative. Evening, mylife.
Pow!!
Is this a new show?
Hi there Doc.
It appears to be a new show.
FReepmail to get on/off the guntalk pinglist.
Good, Fast and Furious is a great topic.
60 people dead as a direct result of operation gun walker.
Eric Holder should be in jail and Barack Obama should be his cellmate.
And now he is on the topic of EBR haters.
Hi mylife, I’m having a research problem, specifically trying to find muzzle energy stats for 38 spl +p Corbon PowR Ball and Hornady Critical Defense ammo in the 125 grain size. Spear, Winchester, Double Tap, most others give this data on their sites.
Maybe somebody here can help.
Too bad he didn’t spend mot time on F&F.
EBR haters are twits that don’t care if they lose their constitutional rights.
I hope some one here can help.
That guy wouldn’t be me though.
He may return to the topic later.
I had a coworker ask me about a good varmit gun.
He was leaning Mini 14.
I leaned him AR 15.
Heya Frog!
Dad wants a ultra-lite rosco, but is afraid the 357 might be too hot, but is concerned the 38 don’t have enough poop to do the job. Double Tap and a few others have them up in the 385 ft/lb range, but most 125 gr JHP 357’s are north of 500 ft/lbs. My 9mm +p’s are well above 400.
I thought I still had a box for the PowRBall, but can’t find it. As for the Hornady, I’m looking at a box of 38 spcl 125gr, JHP/XTP. If that is the one, it shows muzzle=900fps, 50 yds=856, and 100 yds=817.
Well I can tell you that the airweight .38 special pops your hand plenty.
I cant imagine the kick on the Ruger LCR in .357
Mini 14s are heavier too aren’t they?
