Just Damn. As a native Texan displaced in Floriduh, this breaks my heart. Prettiest parts of Texas ablaze-terrible. zero hates Texas and it sounds crazy, but if he is indeed evil and has access to the enemy of God,,,I just can’t say it!

I hate the destruction of so much beauty..My heart breaks for those who have lost everything..

We’ll survive..with God’s mercy. Heart is heavy here in Waco..
I ought to write a check to the Red Cross..feeling helpless.
They are manning shelters for the displaced.

I wonder about this early cool, does it mean we are going to be buried in snow this winter after burning all summer?

Was asked yesterday if I thought this was the end times.
Have yet to figure out if it was an attempt at humor, sarcasm, or a serious question.

Sort of afraid to ask. :)

I got this email from a friend.

Yes, John the Spicewood fire started across the street from us on Sunday and it has been very scary. Started up again yesterday and this morning. We are covered in smoke. Not getting the coverage that we need here, just awful. The local VFD are stretched way too far and are worn out. Not enough equipment. Praying for rain.

Our weather this year has been a bit crazy. First NO moisture last winter, a spring that started out cooler than normal with NO rain, and then just all of a sudden 100+ days during late spring and all summer. We did have a 3 inch rain about a month ago - a real God send! We sat in the garage for two hours watching in rain - you’d have thought we had never seen rain before :)

As for the end times, I think that’s above my paygrade - waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy above. LOL. I just think we are not meant to know so I don’t think about a time frame - just try to focus on being worthy of God’s grace when the end times come.

For what it’s worth...

They even have wikipedia articles on the fires now.

And yes! After 31 years, the “Miss Right” I married is now known as “Miss ALWAYS Right”.

lolol

LOL! Good to hear that!

You know with age comes wisdom, so 31 years is not bad.

It’s taken my husband 41 years! ;)

And thanks for the links - I’ll check them out.

In regard to the snow this winter, we got NO moisture this past winter, but got record snows the winter before and had record crops that year since we had lots of sub-soil moisture.

I really hope this year we will get the snows like winter before last - but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Texans come from hardy stock. I know Texas will come through these trials stronger than ever before. I just wish my neighbors didn’t have to endure such trials, though.

Pray for rain.

When are people going to wake up to the fact that The LORD God is judging our country? We must repent of the vast amounts of evil being done and tolerated in our land. Especially we anger The LORD when we come up against Israel and try to pressure her to give up her God given land. Watch and see that each time we mess with Israel tragedy breaks out in our land. When we were actively pro Israel we were blessed but we are now becoming cursed.

Sorry it took so long to respond. We've been on vacation.

We're fine - none of this activity is around us, nor around where we lived while in San Antonio. Praying for rain and relief.
