No I didn’t bring up Palin which is what you accused me of doing.

Instead it was your fellow Perry supporter.

Wasn’t this supposed to be the forum that Rep. Steve King is a part of and he and others were planning to slam Perry on his sanctuary policies? If so, I hope there is another shot at that. Perry is far out of the mainstream of Americans on this issue, and needs to either fight for those fringe beliefs, or explain how some of them may have changed.

Here is what you wrote since your memory is failing you:

Turning this thread into politics, which is what one of your fellow Palinbots did in the second post, and you continuing it, are simply the actions of desperate and pathetic people.

Your boy normy brought up the politics not me.

Do you remember the BS “W”,and the Mayor of New Orleans and the Gov. of La. faced after Katrina...like it or not Governors are held accountable for how they act in these situations. I can just hear the MSM harping on Texas burning and Rick Perry is too interested in politics to care.

I was responding to a Palin supporter who jumps everything Perry to trash and bash and he/she did in the second post. That was not between you and me, you butted in. I would say you are the one who is not too bright.

You just couldn’t resist injecting politics, while decrying the introduction of politics into a disaster discussion, could you?

“That is a disgusting thing to say. You Palinites are really showing your colors today. Keep up the good work. And leave your Texas residency too.... we don’t need people like you!!!! “

Actually you do...some of us can still look at him from an unbiased viewpoint and realize that he’ll likely govern to the left of Bush-43 and I’d just as well rather not have to go through that again.

Anyway, it was obvious he was going to get CREAMED on immigration at the debate, and probably a whole lot of other issues too. Perry hadn’t seriously thought about running until a month ago, no human alive would have had a prayer going up against that field with that level of preparation. He was toast at that debate and his people knew it...and he, once again, got very lucky.

The person stated America was burning and so therefore Perry should be at the event. If that is the case, Palin should be there too.

That of course is not the case, Palin has her schedule and Perry has his duties. The poster brought up politics and I rebutted her.

I hope Tahitian Village in Bastrop is still standing.
Stayed there often in the early 90’s. Had an email within the last hour from my friend that has a house/cabin in the pines next to the state park ... so far so good. The floor of the Lost Pines area is solid, dried out pine needles. Tinderbox Texas 2011. Prayers for all those affected.

Um, the SECOND post was the start of the politicizing. We all know who that poster is supporting.

Good try at deflecting blame but no go.

Texas is burning and you are stooping to the low life mode of making politics out of it.

(Reuters) - Sixty separate wildfires, whipped by strong gusts of wind spawned by Tropical Storm Lee as it moved north, burned across Texas on Monday, destroying homes and leaving at least two people dead, authorities said.

....
The Texas Forest Service said it responded on Sunday to 63 new fires that burned 32,936 acres, including 22 new large fires.

“Reports indicate possibly 300 homes have been destroyed. MODIS satellite image indicates the fire has jumped Highway 95 and is approximately 25,000 acres,” the service said.

In the Steiner Ranch area of Austin, a separate fire has forced the evacuation of some 1,000 homes.

About 200 homes had to be evacuated due to a brush fire in the Austin suburb of Pflugerville. Another 150 homes were evacuated in Longview, in east Texas. A dozen homes were also under mandatory evacuation on Monday morning near Tyler in east Texas

More than 3.6 million acres in the state have been scorched since the wildfire season began in November, fed by a continuing drought which has caused more than $5 billion in damage to the state’s agricultural industry and shows no sign of easing any time soon.

“You, sir, are a ghoul, and you had better hope karma doesn’t exist after posting this garbage. Disgusting... “

LOL, I didn’t look at the posts before commenting, or I would have realized this was a Perry-lovefest thread and stayed clear.

So, sorry.

You tried to bring up Palin to defend Perry.

I was an hilariously poor attempt considering the irony.

If he had bailed out on a promised meeting you would be bashing him for doing it. It's called “he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't”!

I can't tell the difference between the Ron Paul idiots and the Palinbots any more. You both act the same!

Palin was going to be my candidate, then she quit her job and I was a little disappointed in her. Don't bother to tell me the reasons again. I waited and waited her her to announce but she went Hollywood on us and still I waited. Then she started her bush tour and more waiting.

I am tired of waiting for her, I am supporting Perry now. He isn't perfect but then neither am I!
