The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has acknowledged an Indiana dealer’s cooperation in conducting straw purchases at the direction of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Exclusive documents obtained by Gun Rights Examiner show the dealer cooperated with ATF by selling guns to straw purchasers, and that bureau management later asserted these guns were being traced to crimes.
From the confidential source providing the documents:
The dealer…was sent a "demand letter," based on the number of traces to him, which was retracted after his attorney pointed out they resulted from his cooperation with ATF. (Strangely, he got two voicemails from two different ATF people, both saying they were the head of the tracing operation).
Some of the straw men turned out to have felony convictions, the agents called the FBI background check system and fixed it so the transactions would be approved, something which may also have happened in Phoenix. (The attorney wasn't clear as to whether the guns were actually delivered to the gangs).

WOW! If this report is accurate, and no reason to think it isn't, this means ATF can't pretend that what happened out of Phoenix in the SouthWest was some sort of unauthorized rogue operation. This HAD to be known at the top.
And what other parts of the country did the ATF command that the guns be allowed to walk into the hands of criminals?

Just how widespread around the country is this insanity of the BATF to allow guns to be walked into the hands of criminals? Now I’m starting to wonder if any of the guns used in the 25 New York murders in the past day were the result of BATF ordering them to be walked into the hands of the murderers.
What were Holder and obama’s handlers THINKING, to promugate this on our society????

Note to newcomers to this story: “Project Gunrunner” is the name ATF assigned to its Southwest Border Initiative to interdict gun smuggling to Mexico. “....This obfuscation. Bush’s DOJ was originally trying to find the extent of US arms going to Mexico. They reportedly said there is no “Iron Pipeline” and began to disassemble the operation. Holder and Obama figured if there is no Iron Pipeline, we will facilitate or make one to use as action to stop all selling of guns and ammo in the US.
I posted months ago that, anecdotally, dealers across the nation are reporting that they were also forced by BATFE to conduct purchases to straw buyers who failed NICS.
Someone needs to get dealers nationwide to report such forced sales to a single source (other than gov’t) such as the NSSF so we can create a record of where these sales were taking place and their frequency.
Simple. Support for the Second Amendment has grown dramatically in recent years. Also gun dealers were fully complying with the background check laws designed to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. So what to do? Work "under the radar" as Obama said to get the guns into the hands of the criminals via the BATF giving the green light to dealers to sell to them. Then when the gun crimes rise, blame it on the guns and win public support for more gun restrictions.
They thought they could get away with it but it BACKFIRED on them bigtime.
An oatmeal cookie to the first MSM reporter to collect statistics on gun crimes and traces back to the dealers to find out if the guns in question were allowed by the BATF to “walk.” And I still gotta wonder if any of the NYC murders in the past day were committed using guns that were allowed to walk.

The Obama administration and Hillary Clinton State Department assert that most of the guns used in Mexican crimes come from America, and that in the name of regional stability "more restriction on law-abiding American Firearms owners are needed and the United States must sign on to the United Nations Small Arms Treaty.
The BATFE begins investigating this “claim”, and creates a “sting operation” to ensure American guns end up in Mexico. Then they force gun dealers to sell firearms to known criminals who smuggle the guns to violent Mexican drug cartels. Agents on the ground in this investigation said that it was a horrible idea, but the operations were authorized and supported by leading officials in the BATFE and the Justice Department.
The mantra of the anti-gun Left is simple: “never let a crisis go to waste.”
And if there isn’t a convenient crisis, go ahead and make one up.
This is exactly the strategy Obama and his anti-gun allies have been practicing for years.
They will use this “crisis” to ram federal gun control legislation down the throats of American citizens.

I believe that it has also been reported to have taken place in Florida and Georgia.
This whole thing was developed to discredit gun dealers and enhance gun violence. This was not to trace guns to the drug cartels (nobody was tracing anything). This would shift public opinion to get gun control in effect before they attempted to take over the country, cancel the 2012 election, disbanded congress, and set up a revolutionary government.
I have this sinking feeling that in the end, this will all be covered up.............and these guns certainly may have ended up in New York.
What is going to be their total undoing is that think Americans are afraid of them, simply because the pansies in Congress don’t seem to be doing anything.
They haven’t a clue what they will eventually unleash upon themselves. If I thought Congress was smart, I’d think they’re holding back because they know what could unleash. But unfortunately we all know they’re just not that smart.
Lose their license? Only if they are lucky. They can be jailed for cooperating with the feds, and they know it. This is never documented, it's all done verbally. At any time, BATFE can "conveniently" discover the dealer was making known illegal sales, and burn him.
"The BATFE told me it was okay" would be disallowed in court as hearsay, and ridiculed. This entire process is designed to imprison both the dealer and the fed's snitch at the government's convenience.
The Obamanites, the Left, the Democrats, this entire example that is mapping out our future, our direction with such authority are people that absolutely don’t get what this country is all about. They don’t understand self government, they don’t understand anything but BIG GOVERNMENT ala Monarchy, Matriarchy, Dictator, Strongman, Mother, or any strongly feared figure that thinks for them, guides them, instructs them, and if they are good is benevolent towards them, and they revel in the rewards reaped upon them by the powers that are.
The Democrats represent those sorts in our society. The ones that haven’t any idea that the freedom they have is because of their freedom from those sorts.

It can’t be said to have “backfired” until the perps are legally dealt with. that depends at the moment on Issa and breaking into the MSM. For most of the population, even if they are not buying enough newspapers or watching network news enough to keep them solvent, those are their sources for what they think is reality, or at least the authoritative instructions as to what is important.

These guys, Codrea and Mike Vanderbeough at sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com, are as credible as it gets. Their sources have proven impeccable and they are solely responsible for what MSM coverage there’s been plus the hearings in congress.
You will NOT FIND better coverage, or more reliable.
I have been getting emails for about two months now saying that there is a Texas connection. According to these emails the Texas Rangers have investigated and are preparing warrants for Federal employees. I pray this is true.

I don’t doubt that. But there are LARGE numbers of people for whom it needs to be in a big publication or it didn’t happen. That sucks, but it’s true. I would like to share this with some of them.
