Why Muslims are still mad at America
CNN ^ | September 5th, 2011 | Steven Kull

Men stand near their trucks as they are questioned by U.S. soldiers with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment about the contents in their trucks on July 14, 2011 in Iskandariya, Babil Province, Iraq.

On the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, many Americans are wondering whether the risk of a terrorist attack against America has been reduced. The picture is mixed. With the death of Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda is weaker. With revolutions in several Arab countries, frustrations with unpopular autocratic governments — a recruiting theme for terrorist groups - have been mitigated. But one important contributing factor has not improved - widespread anger at America in the Muslim world. While views have improved in Indonesia, throughout the Middle East and South Asia, hostility toward the United States persists unabated.

This does not mean that most Muslims support terrorist attacks on America. On the contrary, overwhelming majorities reject terrorism, including the 9/11 attacks, as morally wrong. Al Qaeda is quite unpopular.

However, anger at America does contribute to an environment in which it is easier for anti-American terrorist groups to recruit jihadists, to generate funding and to generally operate with little government interference - witness how bin Laden operated in Pakistan and the widespread anger there when the Pakistani military failed to prevent the United States from taking him out.

Trying to understand Muslims’ feelings toward America has been the focus of a five-year study I recently completed that included conducting focus groups and surveys throughout the Muslim world. I sat for many hours trying to understand as Muslims explained to me why they are so mad at America.

Muslims do not like about how America treats them. But there is one thing that is the most fundamental: their perception that America seeks to undermine Islam

Damn right we do. At least I do anyhow. Islam is a plague. It needs to be ruthlessly eradicated wherever it appears.

A bully religion containing a mandate to take over the world, by force if necessary, now, is not happy about a country that stands up to the bullying.

Let’s say we agree to disagree.

Muslim’s are “mad” (in both senses of the word) to begin with. That’s a given, America doesn’t have anything to do with it. Just ask the rest of the world how they like their muslim communities. They are a plague on civil societies.

When I think of Muslims, I think “terrorist”. Islam requires Muslims to kill infidels (including you & me) and that it’s OK to lie to infidels. On that basis you can’t trust anything they say.

Anyone remember what Elijah did with the prophets of BAAl?

I told a priest that Islam is the modern day appearance of the ancient religion of BAAL. That is after he told me that Islam was a religion of peace.

Probably the best that can be hoped in the near term is to undermine the extremist elements in the Islamic world, the ones that take the Koran literally and let their jihads send them to literal war against the civilized world.

al Qaeda is weaker

Not in Libya where financing, training, arms, supplies, intelligence, and air cover provided by the US and NATO has allowed them to takeover half the country.

That makes it hard to tell who’s “moderate” and who’s got a secret agenda going on. But high minded as America is, it will leave the “moderates” alone and keep focusing on active warring figures.

We smashed AQ in Iraq, but I guess that doesn't matter as much as killing its impotent figurehead as he watched Price Is Right reruns on a black and white TV in his filthy hovel.

He gave them a challenge that Baal couldn’t meet.

Raw, brutal pushback is about all these bullies understand.

IM educated O ...

muslims practice Islam which is submission.

They're every strand of fiber is woven with submit.

We in America are free ... our faith in God is free, our way of thought is free.

Islam and America are diametrically opposed to one another and Muslims should not (have been) allowed to openly practice a form of government in direct opposition to ours.

Oh ... do you think I'm confusing politics with religion?

THEY'RE not.

We must be on guard because the boy muslim king has comparatively hours left to (figuratively) live in the White House, and he's kind'a gotten to like the idea of being there.

He ain't goin' away easily.

War has been openly declared on free Amderica and we patriots will soon be called on to make a stand.

Far as I am concerned, they area plague upon the earth. All of it. Amalek.
I just read an arabic language jihadi board that is claiming that al sadr is going to begin ethnically cleansing Iraq. They intend to strike and kill ALL sunnis, beginning with hospitals. They intend to capture or kidnap sunni doctors from Khadimiyah hospital first to make an example of them.

OBL can’t personally gin up a new anti-West movement now, and that’s about all that can be said. He has some sons that might end up in their father’s business in the future.

Ain’t these little devils so cute when they squabble. Satan must be proud at keeping his hand in when he can’t directly assault the West through them.

Hell, on 9/11/01 at 11 a.m., all their asses would’ve been kicked out of the country (yep, goodbye citizenship too, the quran comes before any constitution or countries rights).

The Shinto temples were taken out for a reason. We didn’t build the Japanese more here or let them walk around talking smack... as if their murderous behinds had lost their families when their brethren crashed jets into buildings, shot soldiers/recruiters, etc..

Where are the men in this country?
