If slave ownership is all you can find against Mr. Jefferson then hold it against most of the founding fathers.

So true. For instance, John Hancock invested and made money in the slave trade, but I haven't heard anyone say that he was of "little moral character."

“John Hancock invested and made money in the slave trade”. It was the largest money making endeavor of the Colonies. Slavery was more valuable than all other U.S. banking and commerce. Sad to say it, but it was the Wal-Mart of its day.
