September 1, 2011 Billings, Mont. During his presentation on the status of the nations new country-of-origin labeling (COOL) law, and on behalf of the R-CALF USA COOL Committee, R-CALF USA member and Kansas cattle feeder Mike Callicrate was asked a non-COOL question that set convention goers on their heels during the 12th Annual R-CALF USA Convention held August 26-27 in Rapid City, S.D.
Has the Environmental Protection Agency declared hay a pollutant? an audience member asked. Callicrate responded affirmatively and explained that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently initiated a formal enforcement action against his Kansas feedlot for, among other things, failure to store his hay in a pollution containment zone. Now that EPA has declared hay a pollutant, every farmer and rancher that stores hay, or that leaves a broken hay bale in the field is potentially violating EPA rules and subject to an EPA enforcement action, Callicrate said. How far are we going to let this agency go before we stand up and do something about it?

Unfortunately the feral gubbmint under the bamster regime is certainly evil enough to do this. I no longer doubt ANY outrageous story I read about the EPA.
How far are we going to let this agency go before we stand up and do something about it?
How about yesterday?
You could get good money for that alfalfa here in Indiana, we’ve had a bad drought around these parts and good hay is getting expensive and hard to find.
Of course you would have to take it across state lines, which is probably a felony now.....
Now, don’t go dumping on the nice EPAPersons. They are there for our own good - just ask them.
And, in the case of hay, what do Ya think causes hay fever?
;-)
“On the other hand therell be prodigious quantities of idle pitch forks that can be repurposed in the interests of real sustainability.....”
Methinks there’ll be a better and more effective use made of those pitchforks, FRiend...and kerosene-soaked hay makes a pretty fair torch.
Colonel, USAFR
Photosynthesis is evil...EVIL, I say!!!! It must be stopped! Save us Mr. President! Save us from photosynthesis!
All part of controlling food.
The Ukraine had an very memorable experience of this.
WTF!?
So what kind of trouble will I be in after my horses “process” said hay? It could be worse, I guess - I could have evil, earth-destroying cows...
A good friend of mine once said “give me a gallon of gasoline and a pack of matches and the b&*tards will wish they had never been born”. LoL!
Way past time to shut this agency down.
Forfeit your assets now!
Or we will be forced to act!
needs a keyboard spew alert in the title
I’ll feel more upstanding firing up the fatty...at least I’m not one of those hay growing ecoterrorists.../s
It’s good we’re so civilized, if we were the barbarians Biden epithets us, long ago we would have put a pyramid of corruptocratican heads in front of the capitol and just start over.
Sometimes old school has it’s merits?
Cattle poop, pig poop?
the problem with this story is it will die a slow death at the Free Republic - nobody will get the details to their congressman, local news outlets or file a law suit against the EPA - all of which are one or more tactics used by the left. HELP WE NEED a way to get the facts and then to get them shared.
The EPA should be shut down and the all EPA buildings across the land razed. There are humans in the EPA who have created these insane regulations. They should be put into prison in the middle of the desert and spend the rest of their lives breaking rocks.
The EPA is infested with evil humans who have in their heart a sadistic streak with no end.
If these vile evil people in the EPA had the power their crave, the would not hesitate to exterminate large numbers of humans. These people are that evil -- they are Godless cretins.
Everyone has their reasons for hating Richard Nixon; the EPA is mine.
I guess next it will be grass clippings from my lawn mower.
Todd, is that you?
