Coulter on Palin: Let’s face it, she’s probably not electable
Hotair ^ | 09/06/2011 | Allahpundit

Interesting segment, not because Coulter’s advancing any new criticisms of Palin but because she’s willing to acknowledge openly the political risk on the right in criticizing her in the first place. According to Coulter, conservatives refuse to challenge Palin publicly because they don’t want to deal with the hate mail from her supporters. That’s part of it, I’m sure — by now, all columnists and bloggers know what awaits after criticizing Palin or, say, Ron Paul — but I suspect the better part is that there’s simply no faster ticket to RINOville among some grassroots conservatives than uttering a discouraging word about Sarah. It’s the ultimate “one of us” litmus test; not even a right-winger as stalwart and confrontational as Coulter is immune, apparently, from the inevitable establishment/RINO/sellout/”Beltway cocktail party” nonsense afterward. That said, I’m curious why she’s speaking up now. Has she reached the point where she just doesn’t care anymore? Or is she so worried about the election that she’s willing to lose some fans in the interest of maximizing the GOP’s advantage?

Exit quotation: “She’s become sort of the Obama of the tea party, she’s just ‘The One’ to a certain segment of right-wingers.” Click the image to watch.

Is Coulter really gay? I know she’s too skinny for my taste ( I never got those that thought she was hot-think pelvic bruise) but I didn’t know she was gay. I really don’t care if she is since she’s not shoving it down my throat. Anyway, I think Sarah thinks how I do and I’ll vote for her if she runs. Anybody who thinks the MSM won’t destroy any cadidate that will upset their apple cart is mistaken.

I would replace the Repubs with the Tea Party in a heartbeat

Amen, Rid our Party of the entrenched Washington insiders and replace them with clones of Rep. Allen West and Sen. Marco Rubio and this Republic will once again be what our Founders envisioned for our great Nation

Those people are potential voters. She’s turned a lot of them off. That’s the point that is being made.

While I agreed that Harriet Myers was not the best choice for a Supreme Court judgeship, I was amazed that both Coulter and Ingraham kept harping on the fact that Myers wasn’t an Ivy League [or quasi-Ivy League] Law School grad as a major reason not to nominate her. Ivy League pukes are what got us into this mess. The elitism from these two so-called Conservatives was amazing.

Palin is a difficult candidate to support not because of her obvious strengths but because she made an unforced decision to abandoned the Governorship of Alaska As much as I like her, and As much as I would support her Presidency She abandoned Leadership I have heard the arguments why this should not matter But they do, and they will Wishing it away will not help A sufficient number of voters will intuitively follow that logic

That's horseshit and you know it!

Someone posted that on the comments on HotAir. Funny and true. If she’s THAT unelectable, then why would the RINOS care if she ran 3rd party?? I mean, if she’s sooooooo irrelevant and such a joke..... And so what if Obama gets in again? Will a Romney REALLY be any better? His record says he’ll appoint liberals, so the SCOTUS argument is moot. Perry will open the borders and we’ll have 100 million new Democrats in no time.....and then the Repubs will be voided forever.... so really, REALLY will we bet much better off w/a RINO than Obama....at least w/Obama, we know what we’re getting and can still blame the Dems. W/a RINO, we will be the ones to blame....

“Be careful how you judge people”—yet you call Palin supporters cultists. Would you include FR’s founder in that accusation?

I embrace elections.

Elections typically consist of choices among people who have DECLARED THEY ARE RUNNING FOR OFFICE

It’s the same disease that the nanny boys over at National Review have and that afflicts so many Republicans who spend a few years in Washington.

The National Review is a perfect example of "Inside the Beltway" moderates who are equally to blame for this massive drift to the left. We have all seen those who talk a big game to their friends, but once the opposition arrives they change the subject and talk about compromise. Those who compromise their core beliefs have no ground to stand on PERIOD

Palin supporters ignore the fact the TB is pro-abortion?? What do you want them to do? Shoot her? Sheesh! Yes, because THAT will change her mind.

So what? Bruce doesn’t agree w/ SP on 100% of things.... Funny how the same people who say we shouldn’t strive for purity in our leaders, sure look for it in their supporters.

But they have to go with it because that is all they can think of to malign an honest woman. I wonder, has anyone in the commie/enemy alphabet media even bothered to ask non-democrat voters in Alasak what they think of Sarah stepping aside to allow the governorship to again function for the state and the people, instead of spending every day responding to the fabricated deceits democrats not even from Alaska convened lawsuits to distract the governor from even being able to do her elected job? I doubt it. And these haughty people continuing to spittle that crap know it is all they can fabricate so have to keep playing that blatant foolery.

I am 73 and it hasn’t happened to me, I am too poor to play around with the traitor class. If you don’t have more money than brains probably won’t happen to you either.

It did happen to Barry Goldwater, but I think the young trophy wife had something to do with that. Or maybe he just got tired of hiding his true self.

Agree with the sentiment here. Everything Ann said was exactly right.

There is no way Sarah Palin will ever be elected President.

Do you have a link to those “negatives”? I keep asking about them and no one can actually pinpoint them for me..... I heard a liberal mention something about her negatives a few months ago and since then I’ve heard it repeated over and over by both sides, but seen the actual data. Can you help me with that?

Also, of course she didn’t announce Labor Day, everyone was expecting it. Seriously, read Art of War and you will have no doubt what Palin is doing and certainly will have no doubt that she IS running.

It amazes me how many women just cannot stand Sarah. They complain about her manner of speech. Have any of them not listened to our insufferable president droning on and on, talking down to the lowly peons? I can't stand to listen to the guy. That pompous tone of voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

If she does join them, I am sure she will surpise them as much as Michelle did. I’ve only seen one instance of her debating and that was the three cornered one during the gubernatorial race. She tended to sit back and listen to the others, which is an advantage. Most of us are so full of our argument that we don’t listen. We are too eager to get our “message” out.
