SAN FRANCISCO -- More than half of all people sent to federal prison for committing felony crimes so far this year were Hispanic, a major demographic shift swollen by immigration offenses, according to a new government report released Tuesday.
Hispanics already outnumber all other ethnic groups sentenced to serve time in prison for federal felonies.
Hispanics reached a new milestone for the first time this year, making up the majority all federal felony offenders sentenced in the first nine months of fiscal year 2011, according to the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
Hispanics comprised 50.3 percent of all people sentenced in that time period, blacks 19.7 percent and whites 26.4 percent.
In comparison, last year Hispanics made up just 16 percent of the whole U.S. population.

This is what failed socialist policies do. They have failed blacks, turned them into welfare slaves, and they are failing Hispanics. However, Hispanics should not blame anyone else but themselves. There are many hard working Hispanics, but there are many youths that are a bunch of knuckleheads.
I wish the prison system would bring back chain-gangs. Make the young convicts go outside, under the harsh sun, and clean their local communities. Teach them the value of a hard-day’s -work.
About half of the hispanics in federal prison are illegals.

Joe Arpao is doing just that here in Phoenix.
Illiterates come in all shapes , sizes and colors. Why do we have to think that our home grown’s have to have a monopoly on stupidity?
Mexico is a turd world nation capable of raising its own crops of illiterates, just wish they would stay at home on the farm.....
Chain ganging is a great idea.... it beats them sitting there watching TV and comparing notes on improving their criminality. Let them work, sweat and have a good nights sleep.
Plus the fact is a lot of prisoners preferred getting out and working rather than just sitting around. In some places, boys were paroled to local farmers who treated them better than their own families had.
