NASA says readings from UARS provided conclusive evidence that chlorine in the atmosphere, originating from human-produced chlorofluorocarbons, is at the root of the polar ozone hole.

I don't want to fix it if it will be used to churn out more liberal propaganda.

“UARS was deployed from the shuttle Discovery in 1991 to study Earth’s atmosphere and its interactions with the sun.”

That’s why it’s coming down. Don’t want to prove anyone
wrong about global warming.

This was (decommissioned 2005) not a “valuable space asset.”

“It was literally a leftist propaganda machine.
The $750 million mission measured the concentrations and distribution of gases important to ozone depletion, climate change and other atmospheric phenomena.”

And it BACKFIRED!

Read the WSJ today and you’ll find in the Opinion section a piece that highlights the results of partical physicists experiements linking cosmic radiation intensity and global temperature.

I mean, who would have thought that solar activity and planet temperatures would ever have been linked?

The scientist, for fear of being decapitated professionally, have all but concluded that solar wind and global temps are linked. They did cloud formation experiments using a cloud chamber and a partical accelerator at CERN.

It’s literally funny to read about it.

I’ll wager this $750M piece of crap was actually disproving their theory and got switched from ‘on’ to ‘off’. Science is a bitch that way, experiments proving and disproving theories, and the nasty way that experiments need to be repeatable.

Did Hansen get his defective data from this POS? Maybe he should “catch” it!

” NASA says readings from UARS provided conclusive evidence that chlorine in the atmosphere, originating from human-produced chlorofluorocarbons, is at the root of the polar ozone hole.”

Of course, that was found not to be true since we banned CFLs that Ozone Hole is still there. The ozone hole issue was nothing more than a scam for money just as the global warming hoax.

IIRC, under the reign of Bush41, DuPont’s patent for Freon was expiring, and NASA just happened to need an excuse to justify more funding, or maintain existing levels, so the three colluding on this aspect.

Bush gets to look like an environmentalist (not that it did him any good), DuPont gets to shut out the generic freon competition, with its new coolant, and NASA (and its contractors) keep the money train rolling on yet another questionable project. (And the Algorsat project wasn’t yet on the boards...).

Someone please explain how it will re-enter the atmosphere. Has it entered previuously? Actually, I don’t need anyone to answer. I’m just being a smart alec. My wife said she would like the debris to fall on my 1985 station wagon that’s parked in the driveway.

“The zone of risk.” I really like that phrase.

“So, where do you folks live?”

“Ah, we live about 20 blocks north of ‘the zone of risk’.”

That’s near to the Circle of Trust and the Cone of Silence.

I wanted to post this piece, but I can’t do links.

Can you?, as this magnificent article takes out algore and all the manmade global BS. Article needs it’s own thread.

Just destroys their crap, using the CERN particle physics lab to prove that cosmic rays interact with our atmosphere to form seed clouds, which then controls how much direct sunlight finally hits earth.

Sell short anything that algore has invested it!

The "sone of risk" is probably the entire earth between 57°N and 57°S, but the Russian news report pumped up the warning to Moscow.

NASA says readings from UARS provided conclusive evidence that chlorine in the atmosphere, originating from human-produced chlorofluorocarbons, is at the root of the polar ozone hole.

?

I may not be a rocket scientist, but how did they measure polar ozone with a satellite that did not travel over the polar region?

Missing the high manic swing of manic-depressive disorder, and of other delusionals, for example like Obama, like Bill Clinton, like so many charlatans, Rasputin, peaking performance artists like whats-her-name who died a few weeks back! Or the pseudo-peak that coke and speed heads experience. Kind of a biased graph.

Hi Noob!

Here’s the link to the Jolis article:

It’s stunning in how damning it is of the entire AGW mess. Physicist have a repeatable experiement linking solar wind to cloud formation. It is massive.
