Hey, I just want you to ride safe and enjoy.
Here I’ve two very fine rides. one along a coastal river and the other along a tree covered road for miles.

I will do my very best to ride safe, and I definately will enjoy. I’m hoping my first ride will be this weekend. I will take it slow at first until I know the bike and my abilities on it.

SoldierDad,
I’ll tell you one more thing.
I started on a bike at 6 on a minibike with a 5 hp briggs and straton pushing it.
I’m 58 now and have been riding throughout.
Most guys are about the same. Nowadays the ladies have taken up riding but they only picked it up later in life and without the experience I see them get in to accidents far too often.
Same for the kids on the supercharged jap bikes. Watch out for both.

I know what you’re talking about. I see it in Sacramento area traffic nearly everyday. Some of these riders think they are invincible, and push the envelope, often too far. The local radio station reports car versus motorcycle accidents far to often, and much of the time excessive speed on the part of the rider is the reason. My riding will be mostly leisure, and, hopefully, with a group of other riders. At this point I have no plans to ride in heavy traffic.
