Ah, proof that Algore had, at one point, some outward appearances of normality. At a normal weight, cooking beef at a public barbecue, smiling as he stands next to a Playboy centerfold.

He always had a bit of nuttiness under the surface, and it came to full raging bloom in the period right before he was selected as Clinton's running mate. (That's when he published "Earth in the Balance", which shares more than a little with the Unabomber Manifesto.)

And look at him now - bloated, angry, flush, spouting nonsense, separated from a beautiful wife, and has serious allegations of assault while pleading for "release of his second chakra".

From a purely human perspective, Algore's life is a cautionary tale, indeed. Never take yourself too seriously. This goes for both sides of the political spectrum.
